I had no idea I could get a carpet head for my Miele until I watched your video. Thank you so much for this video. You saved me a ton of money! The medium pile head works wonderfully on my non electric head Meile!
This was exactly what I needed. Looking to switch back to a canister vac after my 30-yr old Electrolux died, and I've been suffering for 3 years with a Shark stick vac that I've come to hate. Cool to see that even though Miele has made slight updates, most of the brushes are generally the same as 5 years ago when this video was posted. I'm trying to choose between the C1 Pure Suction and the Classic C1 Turbo, which appearto just vary in the floorheads included, so this video has been super helpful. Thanks!
Did you get one? My shark brush roller stopped and I'm thinking of going to canister. Mostly hardwood in my house.. Some tile and a few area rugs. Wondering what to get!
The Electro premium also has a trip switch on top that stops brush rotation when it gets jammed on a sock or other object. This prevents the belt from breaking or wearing, or straining the motor. Over the past 6 years I've owned it I've managed to trigger it twice.
This may be asking a lot, but I wish you could do an in-depth view with a demonstration of these two: the Airteq 650-3 and the AllTeQ 285-3. I know they are similar and I tried one of them in the past but now I can't remember what it exactly did. I had a clear favorite if I remember.
I have the Airteq combo floorhead. It’s HORRIBLE! Can’t use it on high suction or it literally will barely move over a surface. If you’re looking for a high intensity workout, I guess it’s useful. The wheels don’t move much and squeak like a dying animal. This is a really helpful video! Thanks so much.
For me the bristles get jammed up with dust and hair then starts pushing the dirt around instead of sucking it up. Great vacuum but came with a terrible head.
I really love your videos. Thanks so very much for all the break down videos. I hope to see more comparison videos in the future, I just love watching dirt and debris disappear 😁
Would love to know what attachment you recommend for berber/loop carpet. My DC 39, a beloved buddy lol, is 10 years old and likely (it's at the shop now) going to be replaced. We have this berber loop carpet upstairs and on the stairs, I'm really not a huge fan of carpet. But I need something without a spinning brush bar? That's what google says anyways. THat's what I've been using with my DC 39, I forget the tool name. Flat out, maybe. Anyways, what attachment from Meile would you recommend? I'm leaning towards their bagless models, but I'm not committed at this point.
@@Patspwnage I ended up going with the Miele Blizzard, the gray one. I think it comes with the tool you're mentioning. The one with the hard floor and carpet switch on the tool that you push with your foot. Love that vacuum. Really happy with it's performance too.
I hate the hard floor attachments for my Miele. The vacuum has excellent suction but the floor heads push things around and don't pick up very well. I end up taking the head off and just using the end. I bought a couple of vintage canister vacuums recently, with better or comparable suction from the thrift store, and the heads are SO much better at actually cleaning and picking up. I am getting ready to give my 1999 Miele to my daughter. It is a good vacuum except for the hard floor heads, all these years I have hated them!
I have a wool low pile berber style carpet. It is getting fuzzy. Rug manufacturer said to use a "no rotary no beater board" type. So which one is that?
@@heeheeriah Nah, would need to build a battery with the required voltage... Too dangerous for me. Got a festool vac now. It is the ultimate all in one machine. Beware of the cleaning set tho. Its crap.
Ours came with one of the "carpet only" heads, but it has no wheels so it's almost impossible to drag across the carpet. We can barely push it at all, so we can only do pulling strokes. Stupid design. We'll be switching to an upright soon and selling our canister.
@@VacuumWars I'm set on the Miele U1, but they've been discontinued, so now I'm stuck. Budget is $500, and I want a quality upright bag vac that isn't Chinese-made and will last a lifetime.
This was perfect. Wish all UA-cam explanation product vids were as organized as this.

Why doesn’t his channel cover more canister vacuums???
Just the video I needed. Was debating between the two hardwood floor attachments and u clearly identified the winner! Off to Amazon I go 😊

I wish Miele had a hardfloor and rug floorheads with lights on them, or a way to run the 236 with the brush roll off but light on.
Thank you for the concise and very effective review!

Update: min 1:15 ... Miele now offers an uodated or say newer model STB 305-3 ... Will be great if You could compare 205 v 305 . Thanks :)
As a casual browser, I would like a playlist and more reviews on vaccuum accessories in general.

Which Miele vac models have electric hoses to accommodate the motorized carpet floorheads?

From my research today, SBD 285-3 is the safest head for low-pile berber (same carpet as mine)

@@laurenbeckerle7977 Yep, that simple head with the switch seems to be the safest for our berber carpet!

Thanks so much for your review. You answered my questions quickly.
How do you get the fur out of the bristles?
How do clean the bristles on wood floor brush
Turbocat test?
Does the heads fit in a upright vacuum like U1?
Yes but the electric brushes wont spin
I have a c1 canister. Can someone tell me if it’s electric?
The manual can?
Why is this so confusing?.
Gonna try putting a duoclean head on there for the ultimate experience lol.
did you do it?

You forgot one of the hard floor suction heads: The Miele SBB Parquet-3 Floor Brush
Yeah I should have mentioned that one, I guess I just missed it.
How is that different from the twister?
@@greg0716 it doesn’t have the swiveling neck function like the twister
