I have read Fiducia Supplicans and have found it contradictory. It seems to be comprised of a great deal of badly written qualifications around that nugget at the beginning of paragraph 31, which explicitly refers to the possibility of blessings for 'couples' in irregular situations and for 'couples' of the same sex, appearing out of what was outlined in the above-mentioned document. Cardinal Müller has it right; God bless him. I think this document was never needed. I am reminded of Matthew 5:37 here, i.e. let what you say be simple 'Yes' or 'No'; anything more than this comes from evil.
I read a priest's comments some years ago that he was taught that the pope would be unable to utter heresy without falling speechless or dead. Are there any older priests out there who were taught this? I also recall it being said that a pope did indeed pass suddenly the night before releasing a heretical document. For the life of me, I can't remember which pope, maybe in the 600s?? Wish my memories were more acute! If that's truly what was taught in earlier years, it leads me to believe the Siri theory, and indeed, Francis is not pope. If he were, he should have, at the very least, been rendered mute. 😮

The Latin Mass is Mass...The Novus Ordo 'Mass' is not. The Council Of Trent (session 7 Canon 13) declares anathema anyone who would attempt to change the Sacraments of the church.
The Novis Ordo does not change the Sacraments of the Mass. It is only in the language of the laity so people all over the world can worship with understanding and put their rosaries away during Mass. Jesus said the original Mass in Hebrew. The Apostles understood every word.

Holy communion is given out differently. The Priest no longer faces God with the people. The tabernacle has been moved. The sacrifice for the remittance of sins is gone. The Mass has been changed in contravention of an infallible teaching of the Catholic Church.

The same-sex couple ‘blessing’ causes a number of questions. What is a homosexual couple seeking by asking for a blessing? What is the Church offering in response? What is the Holy Spirit called for and what is exactly being blessed? What is a spiritual purpose of such a ‘blessing’ and what sort of a particular help it intends to provide? Love and acceptance can make miracles of soul transformation, and Pope Francis' vision on the same-sex unions seems to be about love and acceptance. Yet, the same-sex couple blessing would make sense if the Church dumps viewing the same-sex relationship per ser as a sin. Without that, such a 'blessing' appears conflicting and self-contradictory. The entire issue of the homosexuality as such and the sin does not look straightforward at all. For example, some people refer to Leviticus 20:13: "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them". Does this mean that about 4% of human population should be now "put to death"? Would it be a proclaimed Christian way of love and acceptance? Would it be compatible with the words of our Lord: "Let He Who Is Without Sin Cast the First Stone" (John 8:7)? Apostle Paul in 1 Cor 6:9,10 was talking specifically about "men who have sex with men" with the intention to just satisfy their lust, but said nothing about homosexuality as such. The Holy Scripture condemns sexual lust in all its appearances - ‘traditional’ and ‘pervert’, but says nothing at all specifically about homosexuality and same sex people, who want to live together in love and faith. Your Exellency, with all due respect, as far as I know as an ordinary catholic, people who live with love and faith should live according to the will of God and not according their desires contrary to the will of God. So people with same sex attraction who have faith and love shouldn't involve others to sinn with them by living together in a relationship in which they act in sinnfull homosexual intercourse. Nor, I think, the Church should give them even the slightest impression of aproving their sinnful relationship by blessing it, otherwise they wouldn't repent and convert.

Some of them do not properly care for their children, some - do not provide for them examples of being good people, etc. Yet, what is particularly worthy to notice, that in the overwhelming majority of good Christian families the overwhelming majority of sexual encounters between husband and wife do not pursue giving birth to a new child, but rather serve as expression of love. Then, would not it be very cruel and then unchristian to label as sinful even truly loving relationship of a homosexual couple? In the other words, it is the attraction of male to male and female to female, which is similar to the common attraction of male to female and female to male. It is a very complicated phenomenon, whose nature is not fully understood yet. So far, there is no universally accepted theory of homosexuality. Our knowledge of homosexuality is developing. For example, in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders DSM III, homosexuality had been viewed as a mental disorder, but in the DSM IV of 1994 it was removed from this classification. Homosexuality exists regardless of whether we want this or not, and of whether we label this a sin or not. It is a biological phenomenon. It is broadly accepted that homosexual people do not choose to have the variety of attractions (including sexual one) to the same sex people. It is not their free choice. There is a lot of evidence, including scientific and pastoral ones, supporting this view. It suggests that homosexuality differs from polygamy, paedophilia, and any other cultural and psychological forms of sexual deviations, as we see it now. Free will and the availability of free choice for every human being is God's gift. All the God's revelations for us to this day show that the sin is a derivation from the wrong use of human free will and choice. Nothing outside our free will and choice can be viewed as sinful. Thus, homosexuality as such cannot be viewed as a sin if it is not a result of a person's free choice. - Yet, immoral sexual behaviour (regardless, homo- or hetero) can and should. By Joseph Tulloch Pope Francis addressed the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith on Friday, as the department brought its annual plenary assembly to a close. Thanking officials for their “precious work”, the Pope recalled that, in his 2022 reform of the Roman Curia, he divided the Dicastery into two sections, one concerned with Doctrine and the other with Discipline. It was the former subject, the Pope said, that he wanted to touch on in his address, and he offered a number of thoughts organised around three words: ‘Sacraments’, ‘dignity’, and ‘faith’. New document from DDF The first word that Pope Francis touched on in his address was ‘Sacraments’. The Sacraments, he said, “feed and make grow the life of the Church”, he said, and thus require “special care” on the part of those who administer them. “Let us," the Pope urged the DDF officials, “love and cherish the beauty and saving power of the Sacraments!” Pope Francis then moved on to discuss dignity, noting that the DDF is “working on a document on this subject.“ “I hope,” he said, “that it will help us, as a Church, to always be close to all those who, without fanfare, in concrete daily life, fight and personally pay the price for defending the rights of those who are disregarded.” Proclaiming the Gospel today The Pope’s third subject, faith, was the one he dwelt on for the longest period. “We cannot hide the fact," he said, ”that in large areas of the planet, faith, as Benedict XVI put it, no longer constitutes an obvious prerequisite for common living.” Indeed, Pope Francis noted, faith is often “denied, mocked, marginalised, and ridiculed.” The proclamation and communication of faith in today's world, he said, must therefore take a number of factors into account. In particular, Pope Francis specified the “new urban cultures, with their many challenges but also the unprecedented questions of meaning they raise”, the need for “missionary conversion of ecclesial structures”, and, finally, “the centrality of kerygma [‘proclamation’] in the life and mission of the Church.” “It is here," the Pope said, “that help is expected from this Dicastery.” Pastoral blessings It was "in this context of evangelisation,” Pope Francis continued, that he wanted to mention the recent Declaration Fiducia supplicans. The purpose of the “pastoral and spontaneous blessings” discussed in the Declaration, the Pope stressed, is to “concretely show the closeness of the Lord and the Church to all those who, finding themselves in different situations, ask for help to continue-sometimes to begin-a journey of faith.” In this regard, the Pope emphasized two points. Firstly, he said, “these blessings, outside of any liturgical context and form, do not require moral perfection to be received.” Secondly, he noted, “when a couple spontaneously approaches [a minister] and asks for them, he is not blessing the union, but simply the people who together have requested it.” “Not the union,” the Pope stressed, “but the persons, naturally taking into account the context, sensitivities, the places where one lives, and the most appropriate ways to do it.”
Coming from Cattle country I can smell bs. It was not necessary and likely was done to placate the German bishops that will likely start to celebrate and bless homosexual marriages. What about the synod on synodality? Wasn’t marriage between two men or two women addressed there and not wanted? So much for listening to the voice of the people! It’s all bs. The Responsum of 2021 says that "it is not licit to impart a blessing on relationships, or partnerships, even stable, that involve sexual activity outside of marriage." Is Francis seriously contending that when the priest blesses a gay couple, he's not blessing a gay "relationship"? Oh, please. That's laughable. Francis is an absurdist.

My point remains -- it is a strawman to say that those who oppose the FS insist on "moral perfection" before a blessing can be given. So, Francis's denial that moral perfection is required is revealed as a strawman, which is essentially a dishonest form of argument. No priest who is serious about saving souls would do such a thing. You say "all Francis is asking" is that the priest answer the SS person's request for help. Not true. Such an answer can be given pastorally either in the confessional or in private conversation, if the SS person so desires. What Francis is asking for goes beyond that. It is inherent in the blessing of a gay couple that gay coupling is something the Church can and will turn its back to. Question: Does this save souls? Your response says something about me slandering St. Thomas as a sophist. But since your lack of specificity would make the Church's greatest theologian blush, I have to assume you don't know what the hell you're talking about. I know sophists when I see them, and Thomas wasn't one of them. Francis is no Thomas. Finally, before you berate me as a person who "doesn't have a pastoral bone in his being," consider this: I am about to visit a prisoner whom I personally can't stand, who committed an unspeakably cruel act and is facing DECADES in prison. I will do it because he is worthy of Christ's love, Christ who died for every one of us. I will try to figure out a way to say that, to bring him some measure of Christ's peace in what this man will rightly take to be a living hell. God created Adam and Eve and not Adam and Adam or Eve and Eve for the propagation of the earth. The triune God is three distinct persons in one nature. God is without a defined sex but He created male and female and provided, through them a pleasurable way to propagate the world. I have to say that I am quite shocked by the open criticism and the language of Cardinal Muller. It is very rare that such a senior high-ranking member of the church would be so open and use such a language - lack of logic and bad theology. the explicit mention of the Pope, though not by name, was amazing. I have never seen anything quite like this coming from someone of this standing. It was just a pity that his English wasn't a bit better, but the content was clear enough. Just amazing. He was chosen by Ratzinger for the holy office, and now we can see why. I am in ecstasy almost.
Marriage IS in fact addressed in the document as between a mans and wife. Half the document alone is on Marriage and origins of Blessings, none of which anyone has mentioned. The document isn’t about blessing same sex couples. It’s about the different type of blessings and who can receive blessings. It seems pretty straightforward to me.
The document explicitely mentions blessing homosexual couples, not homosexual individuals , so it isn't simply about blessing people with same sex attraction but specifically their homosexual relationship, which can't be blessed because sinnfull, as it has been taught in the previus document of the DDF, which Fiducia Supplicans openly contraddicts.

I have read Fiducia Supplicans and have found it contradictory. It seems to be comprised of a great deal of badly written qualifications around that nugget at the beginning of paragraph 31, which explicitly refers to the possibility of blessings for 'couples' in irregular situations and for 'couples' of the same sex, appearing out of what was outlined in the above-mentioned document. Cardinal Müller has it right; God bless him. I think this document was never needed. I am reminded of Matthew 5:37 here, i.e. let what you say be simple 'Yes' or 'No'; anything more than this comes from evil.

I read a priest's comments some years ago that he was taught that the pope would be unable to utter heresy without falling speechless or dead. Love and acceptance can make miracles of soul transformation, and Pope Francis' vision on the same-sex unions seems to be about love and acceptance. Yet, the same-sex couple blessing would make sense if the Church dumps viewing the same-sex relationship per ser as a sin. Without that, such a 'blessing' appears conflicting and self-contradictory.
The entire issue of the homosexuality as such and the sin does not look straightforward at all.
For example, some people refer to Leviticus 20:13: "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them". Does this mean that about 4% of human population should be now "put to death"? Would it be a proclaimed Christian way of love and acceptance? Would it be compatible with the words of our Lord: "Let He Who Is Without Sin Cast the First Stone" (John 8:7)?
Apostle Paul in 1 Cor 6:9,10 was talking specifically about "men who have sex with men" with the intention to just satisfy their lust, but said nothing about homosexuality as such.
The Holy Scripture condemns sexual lust in all its appearances - ‘traditional’ and ‘pervert’, but says nothing at all specifically about homosexuality and same sex people, who want to live together in love and faith.
Nevertheless, this unlikely defends the incompatibility of the same-sex couple blessing with the current Church doctrines and policies.

Your Exellency, with all due respect, as far as I know as an ordinary catholic, people who live with love and faith should live according to the will of God and not according their desires contrary to the will of God. So people with same sex attraction who have faith and love shouldn't involve others to sinn with them by living together in a relationship in which they act in sinnfull homosexual intercourse. Nor, I think, the Church should give them even the slightest impression of aproving their sinnful relationship by blessing it, otherwise they wouldn't repent and convert.

Our knowledge of homosexuality is developing. For example, in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders DSM III, homosexuality had been viewed as a mental disorder, but in the DSM IV of 1994 it was removed from this classification.
Homosexuality exists regardless of whether we want this or not, and of whether we label this a sin or not. It is a biological phenomenon. It is broadly accepted that homosexual people do not choose to have the variety of attractions (including sexual one) to the same sex people. It is not their free choice. There is a lot of evidence, including scientific and pastoral ones, supporting this view. It suggests that homosexuality differs from polygamy, paedophilia, and any other cultural and psychological forms of sexual deviations, as we see it now.
Free will and the availability of free choice for every human being is God's gift. All the God's revelations for us to this day show that the sin is a derivation from the wrong use of human free will and choice. Nothing outside our free will and choice can be viewed as sinful.
Thus, homosexuality as such cannot be viewed as a sin if it is not a result of a person's free choice. - Yet, immoral sexual behaviour (regardless, homo- or hetero) can and should.

In an address to the plenary assembly of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, Pope Francis discusses the Sacraments, human dignity, evangelisation, and Fiducia supplicans.

Pope Francis addressed the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith on Friday, as the department brought its annual plenary assembly to a close.
Thanking officials for their “precious work”, the Pope recalled that, in his 2022 reform of the Roman Curia, he divided the Dicastery into two sections, one concerned with Doctrine and the other with Discipline.
It was the former subject, the Pope said, that he wanted to touch on in his address, and he offered a number of thoughts organised around three words: ‘Sacraments’, ‘dignity’, and ‘faith’.
New document from DDF
The first word that Pope Francis touched on in his address was ‘Sacraments’.
The Sacraments, he said, “feed and make grow the life of the Church”, he said, and thus require “special care” on the part of those who administer them.
“Let us," the Pope urged the DDF officials, “love and cherish the beauty and saving power of the Sacraments!”
Pope Francis then moved on to discuss dignity, noting that the DDF is “working on a document on this subject.“
“I hope,” he said, “that it will help us, as a Church, to always be close to all those who, without fanfare, in concrete daily life, fight and personally pay the price for defending the rights of those who are disregarded.”
Proclaiming the Gospel today
The Pope’s third subject, faith, was the one he dwelt on for the longest period.
“We cannot hide the fact," he said, ”that in large areas of the planet, faith, as Benedict XVI put it, no longer constitutes an obvious prerequisite for common living.”
Indeed, Pope Francis noted, faith is often “denied, mocked, marginalised, and ridiculed.”
The proclamation and communication of faith in today's world, he said, must therefore take a number of factors into account.
In particular, Pope Francis specified the “new urban cultures, with their many challenges but also the unprecedented questions of meaning they raise”, the need for “missionary conversion of ecclesial structures”, and, finally, “the centrality of kerygma [‘proclamation’] in the life and mission of the Church.”
“It is here," the Pope said, “that help is expected from this Dicastery.”
Pastoral blessings
It was "in this context of evangelisation,” Pope Francis continued, that he wanted to mention the recent Declaration Fiducia supplicans.
The purpose of the “pastoral and spontaneous blessings” discussed in the Declaration, the Pope stressed, is to “concretely show the closeness of the Lord and the Church to all those who, finding themselves in different situations, ask for help to continue-sometimes to begin-a journey of faith.”
In this regard, the Pope emphasized two points.
Firstly, he said, “these blessings, outside of any liturgical context and form, do not require moral perfection to be received.”
Secondly, he noted, “when a couple spontaneously approaches [a minister] and asks for them, he is not blessing the union, but simply the people who together have requested it.”
“Not the union,” the Pope stressed, “but the persons, naturally taking into account the context, sensitivities, the places where one lives, and the most appropriate ways to do it.”
Pope is dead wrong on this LGBT+ document blessing sodomite couples. Francis is like a sick dog that has lost his mind.

With these words, Francis adds an insulting sophistry to this papacy's list of impurities. That is, no one contends that the blessing of gay couples must be withheld because moral perfection is required. It's a strawman argument -- and like many strawman arguments, it's dishonest.
As for Francis's assertion that when a priest blesses a gay couple, "he is not blessing the union, but simply the people who together have requested it”: More sophistry. The Responsum of 2021 says that "it is not licit to impart a blessing on relationships, or partnerships, even stable, that involve sexual activity outside of marriage." Is Francis seriously contending that when the priest blesses a gay couple, he's not blessing a gay "relationship"? Oh, please. That's laughable. Francis is an absurdist.

My point remains -- it is a strawman to say that those who oppose the FS insist on "moral perfection" before a blessing can be given. We know perfectly well that even a Hitler or a Ted Bundy can receive a blessing. So, Francis's denial that moral perfection is required is revealed as a strawman, which is essentially a dishonest form of argument.
You say, "I have blessed a person in same sex relationshion in the confessional." I say GOOD! (Incidentally refuting your baseless assertion that I don't have a pastoral bone in my being.) In fact, I would encounter an SS person OUTSIDE of confession also, if they wanted to do that. I would do whatever is reasonably necessary to get them back on the path to God. This rules out blessing the SS person and his/her lover together as a couple. Sends the wrong message, i.e., an implied approval of their status. No priest who is serious about saving souls would do such a thing.
You say "all Francis is asking" is that the priest answer the SS person's request for help. Not true. Such an answer can be given pastorally either in the confessional or in private conversation, if the SS person so desires. What Francis is asking for goes beyond that. It is inherent in the blessing of a gay couple that gay coupling is something the Church can and will turn its back to. Question: Does this save souls?

We are well acquainted with the term FEDUCIA SUPLICAN following the issuance of a specific decree by Pope Francis for the blessing of same sex couples in the Catholic Church.

God created Adam and Eve and not Adam and Adam or Eve and Eve for the propagation of the earth. The triune God is three distinct persons in one nature. God is without a defined sex but He created male and female and provided, through them a pleasurable way to propagate the world. I have to say that I am quite shocked by the open criticism and the language of Cardinal Muller. It is very rare that such a senior high-ranking member of the church would be so open and use such a language - lack of logic and bad theology. the explicit mention of the Pope, though not by name, was amazing. I have never seen anything quite like this coming from someone of this standing. It was just a pity that his English wasn't a bit better, but the content was clear enough. Just amazing. He was chosen by Ratzinger for the holy office, and now we can see why. I am in ecstasy almost.

Marriage IS in fact addressed in the document as between a mans and wife. Half the document alone is on Marriage and origins of Blessings, none of which anyone has mentioned. The document isn’t about blessing same sex couples. It’s about the different type of blessings and who can receive blessings. It seems pretty straightforward to me.
The document explicitely mentions blessing homosexual couples, not homosexual individuals , so it isn't simply about blessing people with same sex attraction but specifically their homosexual relationship, which can't be blessed because sinnfull, as it has been taught in the previus document of the DDF, which Fiducia Supplicans openly contraddicts.
