Why do we always get updates from third party sources? Why do we have soundbite theology? Why can't the Pope communicate with us directly? Why is the opinion of non Catholics more valuable to the Pope than the opinions of faithful Catholics?
Because faithful Catholics “breed like rabbits”, like he said when he first became pope. It was quite insulting to large Catholic families Most whom go to the traditional latin mass.

@@karlheven8328 But he's not promoting ordination for women in fact he made a canon in 2021 that a Bishop that ordains a female will be automatically excommunicated. He's respecting another religion. You should check the canon law on that before making a judgement.

Remember, Anglicans aren't priests, or priestesses, by their own definition. Priests offer sacrifice and Anglican vicars must sign the 39 Articles before ordination where sacramental sacrifice is denied and forbidden..

When the pope is holy and right, EWTN promotes and repeats what the pope says. Mother Angelica loved JP2 and defended him against the liberal bishops. Today, Raymond Arroyo rightfully defends the church against a liberal pope.
This ship wreck of a Papacy has continued because our Bishops are useless. In 2014 when he tried to rig the Synod and 14 Cardinals intervened to stop it.

You should not speak of the Holy Father without reverence, even if your assessment is correct. He is the Vicar of Christ, and the Lord may hold you accountable for disparaging him. Not even St. Padre Pio dared to speak against his Pope when he was silenced, and he was wronged by the Pope. If he could not do so, how could you rightfully do so?

This is the papal playbook. Others introduce a controversial agenda item. The pope denies it or remains quiet. But the gate is open and it is a done deal. Example? The German Church.

Pope Pius 10ths' Motu Propio on Liturgical music did NOT result in a change ( no women in choirs) as he would have liked to see implemented. It seems like what should have been adhered to wasn't followed. Now with Pope Francis some are following what shouldn't be adhered to. I am distressed by what he is doing to the Extraordinary form of the mass. It seems like persecution and is tearfully saddening.
I see nothing wrong with a mixed choir at the traditional Latin mass high mass, though it makes more sense to have a men’s choir when you have a certain holy day high mass.
Something no one has yet mentioned. If jesus had wanted women in priestly service, why did He 1.) say nothing of this; 2.) what an insult to Our Blessed Lady, who above all women, would be most eligible; 3.) what about Mary Magdelan, and numerous other female deciples? Rather that fall victim to the sin of pride, should we not follow in Our Lady's footsteps and live the greatest of all virtues humility? God created man and woman to be complimentary, not competitive.

I am Anglo-Catholic and 72 years old. For me, the answer to this 'female ordination' is very simple. Jesus NEVER called a woman to His ministry. How do we have the nerve to even consider such a thing? I don't consider it at all. It can not be done.

I am a woman, Catholic, and opposed to women's ordination in the Church. There are plenty of Catholic ministries for women to be involved with.
I lost my respect for this pope even before the infamous document. He is a very dark man.
His thinking and agenda comes from the lake of fire.
And Ecumenist Heresy seems to be plaguing the One True Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. I hope that Pope Francis is DIRECT in rejection of these ideas...but sadly, he tends to not do such actions all of the time. The FS blessings are OPTIONAL, right? The Vicar of Christ offers…Church may or may not accept. Context of the blessing is crucial. Realistically, the blessing IAW Catholic canon law is remote.

@@matthewschmidt5069 the pope's infallibility only goes as far as issues/teachings on faith and morals. In matters involving the Canon Law, I don't think it applies. He needs to consult with the ecclesiastical council.

As Catholics, we are more and more being drawn into the political trap of “tradition vs liberalism”, especially by news outlets. But that is not our way. We must strive to trust, understand, and believe in our Pope, even more so when others slander him! Why do we believe the words of others over the words of our own Holy Father?! It’s a ridiculous behavior at its root and too many Catholics are taking part in it.
Well let’s think back to what he has said, he stresses climate change, demascluinize the church, the death penalty is inadmissible, blessing “couples” that love each other, traditionalists hold the faith of dead people and they are backwardists, etc…..I think people have analyzed much of what he said. To me it seems very confusing and unclear. We should all pray for him.

I’m confused, did not the Catholic Church raise Mary Magdalene to the title of “the Apostles Apostle “in 2016. The word “ Apostle “ means sent one . In all four gospels it was women that Christ sent out to tell his brothers he has been raised . Also read Romans 15 - Paul names specific names of women that the church needs to submit to .

Its simple. Jesus was born a Male Man. He, Himself instituted Priesthood on the last Supper. Only the 12 Apostles were there. ALL Male. In the Rite of the Mass there's a line there: "Take this. All of you and Eat. This is MY BODY...". Again, Jesus Body is Male. In short, No Female can be Priest because Jesus is Male. In short, there can never be Women Priest. Period.

Ordination of women as priests is a protestant way, and cannot be in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Jesus Christ chooses men to be His Apostles and representatives in His Holy Church. The Truth doesn't change. Jesus Christ did not authorized any one even Bergoglio to ordain women as priest in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Women can be catechists, but cannot be ordain as priests. (1 Corinthians 11:3) "But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God." Those leaders in the Holy Church who allowed women to be ordained as priests are disobedient to God's Will. He is making himself above God by following his own wicked will, and his own wicked ways to make his own new false doctrine, his new false changes, and new false reforms to modernize the Holy Catholic Church. Therefore he is an Antichrist.
