- Such a beautiful weekend. December is supposed to feel like winter, but here, in Portugal winter is special. Arny likes wintertime here. It is cool enough for him to walk not trying to find shadow or water. And of course, he has much more energy.
I am so happy to start sharing tiny parts of life with Giant Schnauzer!

Beautiful fella. I have a 7 year old GS called Bruce who makes me laugh every single day; the best thing that ever happened to me. Only those who own a GS understand how life - enhancing and utterly adorable they truly are. X

Our GS is so loyal, sweet and loving. Her greatest pleasure is just to be with us, but she would defend us to the death if need be. Nice videos that show this breeds personality. Unless you have one u just don’t understand. Thank you peace ✌️

Ich habe dieses Video erst heute gesehen - es berührt mich sehr ! This video is touching my heart. Because i had a great life with five Giant Schnauzers at all within the last 35 years. Actually I had adopted a six years old GS-Lady from an animal asylum near Alicante/Spain. She is now three month's with me in Berlin, my hometown - but it feels like we are together since years. She is a wonderfull dog and as I believe it's the whole breed - wherever born, it does'nt matter!

Arny seems so well behaved - what was he like when he was teething? Our minis were very challenging during that stage!
Ah, it feels like a long time ago 😄Between 3 and 8 months Arny was quite a challenging pup as well 😁I always was in scratches and dirt after each our walk
I have 2 female minis. They are so precious and bring so much Joy.
2dogs, so cool! We also were thinking to take mini as a second doggy. Dogs bring tons of love and fun into our life :)
Mine is a black standard schnauzer, also "black as ink"! 🙂 Schauzers are fantastic! Best breed!

Beautiful video! How long did it take for his ears to stand by themselves? Also, what is he eating right and as a puppy? Very beautiful GS!

In our case, it took 2-3 months when we put a bandage on his ears so they look right form.
We gave him Royal Canin for giant puppies.
I hope you have a good electric clipper, it makes grooming so much easier. My male weighs over 100 lbs and is so much fun to be around... if you are not a stranger. He is too good of a tracker for me to play hide and seek with him for more than a very short amount of time.

Thank you! Yeees, you are completely right! We try to do at least one active and long walk per day (1-1,5 hour) otherwise Arny becomes crazy at home.
So to keep every family member happy - make the dog tired 🙂

He is not always behaving good, believe me, this black devil from time to time like a disaster😁
I watched a lot of youtube videos about how to train and how to behave with a puppy.
Show your love, doggy needs to feel it, Be patient and act consistently with doggy, and everything will be good.
These three rules I took for myself and never break:
1. Never give doggy food from my plate or the table. No human food.
2. If you command - make the dog do it. Help dog, but each command has to be complete. (of course if the dog know the command)
3. Never break rules. If you do not allow doggy to enter the bathroom for instance, then no exceptions.
Good luck! The dog is always worth all your efforts because the feelings you get back are amazing.

Depends on strangers😁😁😁😁 usually if he sees that I or my husband say NO - he stay neutral. He does not attack if there is no real danger for us.
I think because it's a service dog - his key goal is to protect his tribe.
When we walk unleash on the beach and people going nearby - he does not go to people even they trying to attract his attention.

@@my.giant.schnauzers thank goodness. My Cane Corso "Olovia" unfortunately does struggle with it. She is 7 years old and once we got her on the right medication combination, she responds very well and hasnt had an episode for nearly 6 years.
In europe how did you get his tail and ears docked
Dog and we as well are from Russia, our breeder is Russian as well :)
