In WaW, Zombies that are distracted by Monkey Bombs used to say: "Monkey?" That was because Samantha was controlling the Zombies and the Cymbol Monkey was one of her toys so she just wanted to play with the toy monkey, hence why the Zombies are attracted to the Monkey Bomb.

Probably one of the reasons Noahj is taking a break. He can’t just keep replaying the same stuff, or react to world records all the time. So I can see why all zombies content creators are branching out or taking a break til something interesting happens again. I’m just so disappointed about how much we got cucked of zombies content. I love the story just as much as the gameplay and in Cold War the gameplay is good but there’s no personality no story. I think if treyarch weren’t forced to rush Cold War we’d have gotten the Great War but life just isnt fair anymore

For the zombies talking, I remember one of the ghost visions in Die Maschine one of the scientists talking about experimenting on some zombies to hopefully restore brain function to help the axis powers have an army of the undead. So I think that the boss zombies we see are some of the zombies that were experimented on thus causing them to have higher brain functions compared to the common zombie. It would explain the Mangalers almost robotic voice lines.

Based off the Federov Audio log in which he starts turning into some crystal thing (tempest?), I'd imagine the difference is that the special zombies have been "chosen". Federov mentions he's been chosen by the one, so I'd imagine these people who were lost in the dark aether managed to survive Aethereum contamination, and were chosen to serve in the kind of army that is seeming to grow.

Something to remember. Samantha had No idea what was written in the kronorium. She had just witnessed her dad's grusom death, so she was very mad and wanted revenge. What I think is it was her furious rambling. Nikolai knew what would happen, Samantha didn't. I honestly wasn't disappointed. Giving that with the remake were remakes and not remasters, where remasters are just better quality and new functions. But remakes made it so that the map it was, was only a small part of it and not the entire thing. ☺️
I’m commenting before I’ve watched, but my theory on the talking zombies is that in the original timeline, the zombies were created mostly by exposure to weaker amounts of 115, versus the cold war timeline where there are made by exposure to the dark ether itself and therefore a more potent 115 115 can give creatures more complex mind(people becoming megatons/mimics/manglers) so why can’t 115 give certain creatures the ability to speak and to use a creature to its fullest: destroying the morale of those who oppose, and to create better and smarter armies

Image being a zombie and being self aware and able to talk but unable to stop yourself from killing other people and eating them? That would be horrible experience. I wish games and movies would explore that more.
I think the reason that some zombies can talk more than others is that decay just got to some and not others, perhaps they’re all trying to speak but their vocal chords, larynx and other vocabulary organs were just wrecked, so they can only just say seldom few words, same for the megaton and the other one, they seem to have armour and other coverings around their head/throat. Perhaps they blocked off some natural influences.

In the dark aether, they belong to a hive mind and the boss zombies are the ones that can talk because they're stronger and less deteriorated, so they still have the functioning jaw, tongue, and vocal cords. They're just vessels of the dark aether helping it achieve its goal. I woke up 15 mins ago and this thought randomly hit my mind while watching the video so I doubt it but 😅
I personally think that Warzone should've been based off the great war, even if its just for halloween I would've loved to see it. I think it would've brought in new players and kept the current ones playing, they could even tie the storyline to COD WWII where after the war, someone tried to recreate the zombies and turn them into super solgers, but it backfired and they we're planning on sealing them away but the zombies broke loose and infected everyone. You would be tasked with taking out the zombies before its too late. The Zombies would be A.I. controlled and everyone would have to team up to take them down. It would combine the best of both zombies and warzone.

Personally, what might make sense place to me is I highly doubt they have any sentience, the ones that can speak full sentences maybe these phrases are remaining from when they used to be alive. They don't have any level of sentience but instead they're just shouting in general. Maybe they're not really targeting it at anyone and instead it's more like a spasm not so much premeditated. That I feel would make most sense, they are not consciously saying those things.
