Malta has 1500 per square km. Noise, pollution, corruption, mafia, bad infrastructure, constant discrimination against foreigners. You would have to be OUT OF YOUR MIND to retire here.
This list doesn't take into account the need for medical care when you're retired. I know, for example, that St Lucia has no real hospital. For retirees, this is a huge factor for a decision where to move.
@@mrbenmall thank you Ben..I too would never have known and in fact when I got home my own doctor was impressed with their latest up to date knowledge..the consultant even abolished I had to move rooms to see him and laughed when I said despite private health care I would have had to wait months to see a consultant…have only wonder memories

There is no best island to buy property on with the sea rising - most islands could flood over the next 50 years. As the sea rises, however gradually, the value of your property will drop.

Ben , I was there staying in Le Sport… got very sick and can only say I got the best treatment ever with wonderful doctors etc
