I’ve been seeing a lot of collecting youtubers talking about their collections and methods of collecting. For me, I think we need time to realize that is a addiction, when we start collecting we are kinda blind and we want everything of a specific person and then grows to collect even more people bc, we see other people collections. Then you need money (most of the time) you drop things, here you realize that you spend a lot on things to maintain a stereotype. i prefer watching small channels with small collections bc feels more personal and enjoyable. truly, idk how people collects +20 groups, it’s so overwhelming.
no i don’t get it either, it looks fun but i know in reality it is so stressful!!! idk why ppl do that to themselves 😭 i agree i love seeing smaller collections i wish more ppl had them!
collecting to maintain a social media following is such a slippery slope... i think too there is a lack of transparency about financial status on ktube, which is fine, but if you look at other collecting communities on yt (like figures or sports cards) people are much more up front about the cost of their collection. not really much of analysis there but i think its interesting. another great vid from user stayinorbit :D

10/10 video!!! i also think ppl equate collecting to stanning a group and forget that you can love a group without collecting them. for me i love a lot of groups but i really only enjoy collecting billlie so i just collect them and that's fine!

hii i love your videos!! i recently downsized to just collecting all sullyoon album pcs and some pobs that i find really cute. having a smaller collection has made me realize that i don't need to collect other idols or groups to know that i have a bias. i think people nowadays are realizing that and so many other ktubers that i watch are downsizing their huge collections. im kinda glad we as a community are doing this because it also helps prioritize collecting the main groups/idols that they wanna collect long-term!! 💜💜

omg i agree so much about your thoughts on collecting. a lot of these larger creators seem so disingeniunous when they are collecting everyone to appeal to as many different fandoms. it's honestly super brave of you to talk about that publicly as i'm sure a lot of creators would take that as a personal attack. if the shoe fits i guess.. it's why i prefer smaller collectors and ones who don't feel the need to pick up every group because it seems like they are a lot more passionate about who and what they collect as well as what they decide to give money to. i can't really take some of these hybe collectors seriously when they are deleting comments regarding the boycott LOL i've also noticed the spike in new people joining ktube and making videos and i think you gave great advice to those people as well as people like me who have already been here and been doing this for a few years. it's sad that a simple hobby purely based on your for a group or artist has turned into dollar signs for a lot of people in the community. i don't know what else to add because my thoughts are jumbled but thanks for another great video aidy 🤍
i agree i think people with large collections tend to be very open with how stressed/broke they are and make it out to be a joke but girl we can tell it’s not… i did not know people were deleting comments omg 😭 thank u liv love u miss seeing ur vids xoxox
