Looking around how systematically some people hate on the series, I can only assume they've set a Google Alert for every new post on ST:DSC so they can immediately hate on it the second it pops up. What can possibly be worth this much effort? Just so you can nerdrage anonymously?
@@duicic8541 -- I know it's forgettable, because I forgot about it, but remember, *Spock's* older Brother *Sybok,* from *_'STAR TREK: The Last Frontier' (1999)_* also wore a beard, much like this one. It could be that a young adult *Spock* was more heavily influenced by his Big Brother *Sybok* than *Sarek* would have liked. And made similar, quite logical from a certain point of view, decisions. We already know that one, two, three of *Sarek's* children rejected his planned paths for them. Basically, *Sarek* tried so hard to be *VULCAN* he became a shit Father. And he denied himself his only *VULCAN VICTORY* by denying his Daughter's success in order to have a second chance with *Spock,* since his first, fully *VULCAN,* Son had gone _'astray'._ It's all about Family, Man. Luckily, upon realizing the mistakes he had made as a Father over the years, *Sarek* eventually turned out OK.
@@redxsage - that is a pretty solid canon explanation. Sarek's battle with Bendii syndrome also showed just how deep his regrets went. Mad props, man!
@@duicic8541 -- Thanks. I have really enjoyed seeing Sarek's evolution, apparently going back to ENTERPRISE and even STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT. I especially like that with perspective, it becomes clear that Vulcan logic is not absolute. Up to and including his attempted assassination by Vulcan Fundamentalists in STAR TREK: Discovery and his mind meld with Jean Luc Picard. It all fits. Yet too many _'fans'_ act like it doesn't and claim that time travel is a cop-out. I'm like, are these guys watching the same series? STAR TREK has _always_ been about time travel, from the initial pilot.
@@redxsage - Kirk has time-travelled so much it's a wonder he doesn't trail a stream of chronitons like some annoyingly loyal pet.
Never seen a Weave on this beautiful woman
Love the actress, but I don't like what they've done with StarTrek. Not just Discovery, but the whole kelvin timeline too. I miss TNG, DS9 and Voyager. I wish they had made a series showing the aftermath of the Dominion War, the destruction of the Borg, etc etc.. I'm not a fan of rebooting established universes.
Why didn't they talk more about her character, Michael?
First Mirror-verse Spock with the Evil Goatee, now Young Spock with a beard of Serious Logic?? What the Spock will they think of next?
her husband is #goals tbh lmao
I like her more off screen than on screen lol
Did they say '2000 feet'? Metrics loses in the future????
that's what husbands are supposed to do the 17th
I would be proud of her too...
