First, Sonequa Martin-Green is absolutely beautiful. My goodness! I absolutely love the conversation on Gene's vision for the future. Star Trek, for me, has allowed me to see the world through new eyes over the entire course of my life. It is the ONLY thing that has ever given me hope in humanity to evolve to its higher/better self. Additionally, Discovery has been an amazing series and aside from TOS and TNG, the one I've watched over and over more than any other. It took me a bit to really get on board with it, but I literally, no joke, watch an episode or two every night before bed. I love it that much.
The Only thing I didn't like was the "Spinning" aspect of Discovery; I thought the front part spinning to increase speed rather than the teleport aspect. Or the teleportation as a last line of jumping capability would have been cooler. Great show!

Yes. The story lines weren’t always compelling, but the characters-flawed, imperfect, but therefore having greater depth-were a rarity in the Star Trek world.

I will too but we need to stop accepting that CBS is giving us the short runs. There is no good reason why they needed to end it. We need as trekkies to make our voices heard

When i saw her on WD I said to myself,she needs her own show and it happened. LOL. Didn't expect it to be a Star Trek series tho.
Met Wilson Cruz last year at the ST Convention in LV... And really hated that we missed Sonequa because she didn't come until Sunday and we had to hit the road. Wilson is simply a sweetheart and the joy of taking a picture with him and Anthony made my weekend, along with getting love from Doug Jones.
Since Star Trek The Original series, and every series through Enterprise had racial diversity and women in leading roles. Whoopi is correct about Roddenberry’s vision of the world

Yes, there is 'STRANGE NEW WORLDS', and 'LOWER DECKS', yet DISCOVERY ending will leave a void. Thank You DISCOVERY Cast, Crew and Showrunner. x!

On star trek TNG Troi was the ship’s councelour Guinan, payed by Whoopi was simply wise and well respected and everyone sought her advice.
Couldn't pay respect to Troi because she's not black. Have u ever heard these people talk? They are VERY RACIST. Green said herself she was a very racist person at the start of season 1 but 5 seasons has really helped her. Are u kidding all this show did was reafirm her! The was a 5 season eago stroke for her. She's the best thing in the entire universe.
Yea, but Troi wasn't exactly on par with Guinan... Troi was more there for Picard, Guinan was there for everyone else.

I like Sonequa Martin-Green, and I loved her character in "The Walking Dead", but I don't really like Star Trek Discovery. It's not as good as older star trek. I do look forward to whatever future roles she gets after Star Trek though.

Ironically I didn't watcg Season 2 of Discovery that inteoduced Anson Mount as Captain Pike. But when I heard about Strange New Worlds, I watched every episode of that show.
Agree, but this new season of Discovery is so far phenomenal!! It's basically a sequel to "The Chase" from TNG, one of the best story lines.
Star Trek Strange New Worlds is not necessarily better to me. It us from a different perspective. I love them. I will miss Star Trek Discovery.

I enjoyed the 1st season well enough... but I am sick of season long story arcs. I really miss episodic TV. Star Trek is perfect for episodic TV. That was one of the best things about The Next Generation. I saw season 2 start with a new 'enemy of the season' and gave up. Maybe I will try it again later. I really do like the cast, sets, and effects. 😎

Sonequa Martin-Green always having the answer. Fighting choreography was rubbish. Her character MICHAEL BURNHAM, toilet. They should have kept PIKE as captain. Kept Spock in it. But to have Sonequa Martin-Green and the black London dude. Sadly Discovery lost its way.

This show sucked. I only watched the first season but the vibe just wasn't on brand. Too focused on one character and they changed way too much of the worldbuilding and themes. Same with Picard. Strange new worlds has got the vibe correct but its writing is kinda weak.
It is so funny to see everyone being sooooo proud of a show that was absolute garbage since the very first episode. Not only that it was extremely expensive garbage. Amazing stupidity kept throwing $ at it for 5 seasons. No wonder paramount+ is dead.
😄 So glad that terrible show has come to an end. Not a very good show at all, the outside of the ships were before STTOS era but the inside of them all had super duper technology. Every episode everybody was wearing different color and different styles of uniforms. This show was all over the place. They didn't even know if they were coming or going so how could the fans enjoy it, good riddance.
Discovery was an advanced science and research vessel so of course it was more advanced than the likes of Enterprise, that's the whole theme of the series. I'm not sure if you watched much of it, but their uniforms were navy in their home era, it only changed when they had to go incognito in the mirror universe and later when they jumped to the future.
