Yes...he was a famous young pianist! But after his "storys with Thaiboys" in Thailand....and the last very artificial "manirism" Pletnjew- concerts here in Switzerland I have lost my interes for himcompletly!😢.....But the first Prokofjew Concert will survive for ever!😊

The fact that he has never been convicted in a court of law doesn't mean his predator-like interest in underage b0ys has not been confirmed by lots of people around him. All the important impressarios in The Netherlands told openly about Pletnev's extremely disturbing interest in little b0ys, and this was already many years ago! I did not believe the rumors at the time, but after meeting him in person in the late 1990s and early 2000s in Amsterdam, I changed my mind (reluctantly). I'm sad to say, but he is by far the most arrogant and unsympathetic musician I have ever met in my life. Just a very unpleasant, totally indifferent, anti-social, 'ice cold' individual, at least in my experience. It's such a shame, because I do admire much of his art (especially his solo Grieg interpretations). He has obviously a ton of talent, but don't expect him to be friendly to you if you'd ever meet him in person. As the saying goes, never meet your heroes!
