Nice to hear the happenings behind the Royal Rumble. Even more when it's insights behind Cena's amazing return(lol sneakers gave him away) and Cena/Batista botch and Vince's quad tear incident.
It amazing the amount of work that goes in to each match. , between the WWE storylines, the wrestlers, the refs and doing it right 95% of the time with out any one getting seriously hurt.
I just ruptured both my quad tendons and wanted to hear the story of how McMahon tore his. The story is clear the end of the video, but the fact that Vince was able to stand up and walk out on his own power is absolutely insane.
The left quad tore when he entered the ring. He refused assistance to help him walk to the back, he limped back on his right leg, and then the right quad tore as he went through the curtain. He was in a wheelchair for months. Amazing that he didn't go into shock.
Waiting for someone in the comments to say that they were actually there and watched it in person. But I have not seen that yet. There are so many people in this world it is impossible to wrap my head around it
@@radentstwo9793 Him recalling his experience on Dark Side of the Ring a few years ago was really harrowing and depressing. I really hope the guy got some help to get through something like that
Batista is destined to win the Rumble in 2005 and although he was the runner-up, John Cena got his main event opportunity by beating Kurt Angle and become the no. 1 contender to the WWE title At WrestleMania 21, both John Cena and Batista became the world champions by beating both HHH and JBL
Jim Korderas had thick brunette hair, no facial hair, and was tall and slim. He looks TOTALLY DIFFERENT. In fact, I would often confuse him with Joey Marella
I don't mean to sound so cold and callous. I was shocked AND saddened to see him in a wheelchair, but that's what these guys get from years of taking bumps and being dropped on their head. This particular professional wrestler in the video used to be known for taking unprotected frog splashes and chair shots to the skillet on a nightly basis. This particular worker was also routinely pushed from atop ladders, and through the Spanish announcers table
I wonder if they did the same thing for when edge came back last year because both cena in 2008 and edge last year was the two most impressive and surprising returns. Edge probably gets the edge over cena because edge retired and couldn't physically wrestle anymore
Like seriously when Triple H and Kevin Nash tore their quads, they could barely move in their matches. Here is Vince, who is much older than both of them and tore BOTH of his quads but was able to get to the back by himself. He has made a lot of dumb decisions over the years but there is no denying he is one tough SOB.
It was a fake storyline but during the match, batista went for a batista bomb and the momentum made him stumble backwards sending both batista and cena out of the ring at the same time.(that wasn't supposed to happen) thats why vince came out pissed off and in the process of sliding into the ring, his knees hit the edge of the ring causing both of his quads to tear. That's why when he tried to stand he fell back down and just sat there. The refs did a good job in saving the match and making it look like it was part of the story but in reality,it wasnt!
The 2005 RUMBLE Ending seemed like it was Meant to Be, like Bret, Luger 94. I would say I'm glad it Ended the way it did for a Good Twist, and Good RUMBLE HISTORY!!!!!
this ref is by far the worse ref, if you watch his matches, he makes it so damn noticeable when he's talking to wrestlers, I was just watching summerslams back to back, and this guy is just so bad
There's been tons of interviews about the 05 Rumble finish, I think this one's one of the best with the way Jimmy told it from a referee angle
Cena and Batista botch the finish and then Vince blows out his quads in the ring. Greatest moment ever 😂😂😂

They should have gave Cena Cowboy Boots!!! lol
Dave B fucked it up to be fair.
I could listen to these stories all day

One Of the Attitude Era Ref's
Legend :D
What a final 4 we had in 2008 :John Cena, Triple H,Batista and Kane.

More of these!
This is the guy that throws the beers at Stone Cold
It was actually Mark Yeaton. Don't think Jimmy ever did
It’s always been Mark.
He was the referee who was in the ring when Owen Hart fell feet down.
@@radentstwo9793 Him recalling his experience on Dark Side of the Ring a few years ago was really harrowing and depressing. I really hope the guy got some help to get through something like that
Cena and Batista should have ended as co winners
Bad idea to change your booking plans for the lead-up to Wrestlemania over a botch in the rumble.
Daoibhéar How did Mania 21 end? With Cena and Batista leaving there respective matches as WWE and World Heavyweight Champion.
Batista is destined to win the Rumble in 2005 and although he was the runner-up, John Cena got his main event opportunity by beating Kurt Angle and become the no. 1 contender to the WWE title
At WrestleMania 21, both John Cena and Batista became the world champions by beating both HHH and JBL
Awesome perspective.
why did they have to keep it a secret?....when Cena came out at #30 you coudn't see him anyways
Jim Korderas had thick brunette hair, no facial hair, and was tall and slim. He looks TOTALLY DIFFERENT. In fact, I would often confuse him with Joey Marella
Dang Jimmy ain't been seen or heard from in years
I know right??? I was shocked to see him in a wheelchair

Actually he co-hosts a weekly WWE recap show here in Canada, along with Santino and I think two other guys

Damn. Kayfabe is just non existent anymore. Killed that bitch like ten times.
What happened with this channel?
Your face happened to this channel
Wwe referee jobs seem pretty complicated lol
AEW refs would like a word
"This guy was covered in a blanket... they took it off and..... no one was under there..."
I loved this guy
This is gold
The 2005 Rumble, if they were actually trying I bet they wouldn't even have come close.

They know who is getting eliminated next? You mean wrestling is not real? How long has this been going on?
So there was actually confusion about who won and it wasn't a fake storyline?

Well Cena was the surprise entrant for the 2008 rumble. Vince tore his quads at the 2005 rumble.
@@patriciaalejandra4764 Oh it was just a Story Change. I TOTALLY Missed that. LOL Thinks!!!
What was the point in Vince even coming out it made no sense lol
Check out Edge’s version.
To restart the match obviously

Jim is a legend. He’s been around since the mid late 80s
