There's so much people comments here and dlow react video that Ice should be won this, 'river just crybaby about being touched' etc. I feel this is good battle to analyze (maybe) because some of the fan can't accept the fact that no judges vote for ice.
In my opinion, River still won this battle (if you take away the 'touching', River is still won for me), At first round it's really close battle and Ice slightly win, but in the second round, i feel like Ice need more creative about the structure, so he will sound having more variety.. both of them do crazy technical pattern on the second round, but in other hands Ice sounds a bit repetitive.

Abo Ice was a beast the whole event but River ticked all the boxes in this battle, being original, musical, battling also he is very complex.
Best battle in years.
But Abo Ice is arguably more original given his sound set? Not to mention how complex these beats are? No offense to you but this battle should’ve been at least a 3-2. In my eyes, it shouldn’t have been a 5-0

If a battle is 5-0 that doesnt mean that the winner was clear.. it was close, even the judges say that but they vote on the better one
imo rivers melodic aspects didn't fit with how aggressive his rounds were and that made me lean more towards Ice. I'd give it to Ice but this battle was super super close. Surprising 5-0

To be fair River should have moved and let the opponent have some space, but yeah touching should not have happened

I think that we should draw the line at touching and pushing, especially when combined with a hostile attitude and when one party clearly indicates they don't appreciate it. It might be part of the act and the battle, but we should not allow even a remote hint of unfriendly physicality to influence the performers. ICE needs to tone it down a notch in my opinion.

INSANE battle!! I can't imagine the tension on stage! STILL the touching really annoys me. Since forever it has been the rule in Hip Hop to never touch your opponent. There have been physical fights in rapping and bboying because of this. The peacefulness and respect of the beatbox battles are one of my favorite parts about the community. I know Abo Ice has never battled in real life but I feel like learning to keep your composure is just as important as training your skills and it's a sing of respect to the craft. I know Zekka does it too and it annoys me just as much.
Every battler River faces are throwing the stones or chunks into the river, but He still keeps flowing 🤩

This is the by far the best battle ive ever seen
at the start of Ice's second round he countered really really well.
River then tells him to back off, he didn't touch, yet River was just as close in his round.
Turning around then coming back in Ice's face.
I understand that Ice took it too far. But in this isolated incident, it wasn't that bad xD

@@bfs1 not sure about that one. There are a few sounds that river can do that also ice does. And there are many sounds river does that ice cannot do. But the clickroll is literally a beginner beatbox sound that anyone can counter. However, River's clickroll is very clean and powerful, and he can also do whistles and bird chirps at the same time. Ice's click roll counter wasnt very powerful, both live and in the video, maybe he had dry mouth or wrong technique.
