I always say this was the best era for Mitsubishi and Subaru. Another great review. I love the nostalgia these cars bring and they will never get boring… even when you bog them on the launch.

Hi. Thanks for this review, Ross. An amazing car from the look and everything. The combination of the white outside colour and the black wheels fits perfect on this EVO 6. An awesome aspect of EVO's: all wheel drive + a manual transmission. A fun car to drive (a drivers car). Best regards Chris from Germany

Great review of Zac’s Evo 6. It looks like such a fun car to run around in. My personal favourite out of the Evo’s would be the Evo 7. The 0-100 wasn’t too bad with all things considered. It has some nice mods all round. It has a nice look overall too. It sounded really good driving around the windy road through the hills. Thanks for the review.

Sounds like you have to soft tirewalls if there is a delay in the steering or blown dampers..
If this is not enough try a 24mm rear arb. Gives quicker steering.
Had 3 evo 7s. Love them all. One of my favorite cars.

Owned one of these exact cars and can back up what Zac says in regard to always being on the clutch and changing gears. Such a driver inspired vehicle, the best Evolution of the series in my opinion.
Why do people insist on taking their 90kg mate in the back of a Ross reviews cruise. You know it'll have a 0-100
Because I'd rather put a smile on a mate's face than test my luck beating a $200,000 R35 GTR at the greatest thing an R35 GTR is good at... 😉

I must admit I've always had a soft spot for the Evo's they're just a great car all round & very fun to drive so well done Zac 👍 but you should have kept the Falcon lol,nah hopefully one day you get another maybe an XR8 manual ? anyway great review Johnny cheers mate.

And the 0-100 (62mph) 6.7 first of as you said your Launch has not that good, and you can do 62mph in 2 gear as i recall.
Ross, this Evo is an extremely poor example of what an Evo is capable of. I recently sold my BMW 335i to jump back into an Evo and it was the greatest decision I have ever made. Once complete it will be sitting at around 670whp. I guarantee you will never drive anything as scary or quick. Ill let you know when the build is ready so you can review it.

What are the evo 6 like for reliability? Looking at getting one or a 2016 w205 c63 amg? Any advice would be much appreciated.
It's been brilliant;y reliable. however do keep in mind these cars are 25 years old now so if you do break it, parts are decently hard to find

That’s some dumb shit right there. Spends a bomb on mods for an EVO and then shames all EVO owners by rocking up to a car review/test running the shittiest fuel it can run on and then loads his mate in the car 😵🙄😬😩. Can someone who can actually drive an EVO and understand them do a ROSS Reviews please. Ross has an uncanny ability to find the slowest EVOs and RS3’s in Australia.
I was going to say the same thing. Ross mate, this is an extremely poor example of an Evo. Even the Evo X you have recently reviewed are piss poor. Take one look at Sydney roll racing to give you an idea of what Evos are capable of. Evos properly tuned are INSANELY fast to the point of being scary.
