I love stopping at Cloak And Dagger when I go to Daytona Beach for the day. They often have some good finds on the wall.

You haven't been to an Australian comics store then, here the retailers still think in terms of lockdown prices.
When a shop laughs off the question “you guys don’t get anything graded?” My respect for them shoot’s up immediately. PS- Angelo you realize all these books your being overly critical on the condition of didn’t come out last week right? Not everything needs to be near mint 🤷♂️
If he wants it near mint then he holds off and spends more on that copy that he likes then so be it. There's all kinds of collectors. You probably collect a certain way so he can his own way as well.

Hey guys, I was trying to look up the website to old man that sells the comics outside.....his website "comic book connection " doesn't seem to be working anymore. Any clue about what is going on? I'm actually in Florida for once and what are the odds. Angelo....when are you two having another having comic sale at the house??

I was there last week. I picked up 100 dollar books. It was awesome and the staff was great
I don't think The Killing Joke has ever been out of print since it was released in 1988; the most valuable of the softcover editions is the 9th print with crimson cover text, and there's also a Spanish edition with a different Brian Bolland cover.
I like the guy behind the counter, seems down-to-earth and honest.

That Swamp Thing 13 at 13:06 was one of the earliest comics I owned back when it appeared on the stands in 1974. Same with the WWBN 33. I've also loved that cover.
Early 90s i picked up the first appearance of the Scarecrow for £6 didn't realise at that point. Nice surprise.

Got to meet Carmine Infantino some years back at an Atlanta con. Nice guy and had him sign two copies of his book..World of Infantino...one for me and one for local friend who loved old Flash comics. This video made me want to continue sorting my old collection to rebox and bag...
There were some nice Silver and Bronze Age books there.
The prices on those raw books were more along CGC prices. Wouldn’t have bought much there.
Actually he was overpricing considerably. The Batman 251 was priced around a CGC 7.0, and Angelo said it looked like a 4.0.

5:11 - Title and color scheme (and price tag) look right; please tell me you didn't flip right past a Flash 139 (1st Eobard Thawne; Reverse Flash) without showing it to the camera. LOL
Oof, and again. 12:11 - Adventure Comics. In the run of that title, only 5 books had the box that said "Still 10 (cents)". Of those 5, 4 had the box BELOW the DC logo in the upper left corner; only 1 had it to the right of the logo. And that one, seen here, was Adventure Comics 283, the first appearance of General Zod and the Phantom Zone. Very underrated book!! (Largely because such a large percentage of the comic book community doesn't even know what the book is when they see it.)

Jeese I hate when shops overprice! He was asking $600 for the Batman 251 and you were saying it was around a 4.0. A CGC 4.0 is about a $275-$325 book, and he was sking $600 for it raw!!!! Come on people, learn to price!
