You should make a “before dyno” checklist. Spark plugs is the bare minimum that should be done before a dyno session
Old sparks and e85? No wonder some of these engines don't last. Great work dealing with the issues!
Look forward to watching the videos everytime you upload. Awesome content. great work guys
Thank u, I got somthign good in a few weeks with 214-c and g42
@@bdalchemist Awesome - look forward to seeing it
Man I always learn something when I watch your videos. Great content. 👍
Curious to what u picked up from this vid
@@bdalchemist first thing is to always gap your plugs! You really put emphasis on the fact that you wanted low Torque due to the engine being all stock. I'm all about safe tunes with cushion.
Great videos please keep em coming
Keep up the excellent work. Always enjoy seeing the process and stumbling blocks we all know happens way to often with tuning.
Yes it does and thank u
Dang I wish you guys were local. Would love to get a tune by you. Keep up the good work keep them videos rolling!
In your opinion, would it be okay for an evo x to sit with about 30% ethanol through the winter? like 4 months-ish. First tank after winter I don’t do any pulls and usually run it a couple fill ups before I do any pulls
Круто! Молодец! Продолжай в том же духе! 👍
Thank u
that car sound awesome
curious for a 3576 turbo what cam you recommend 262?
Hey brother. Loving your videos. I constantly reference them for tips and knowledge. I just purchased a Gen II 3576r today. Unfortunately, I don't have E85 anywhere near me and haven't done any cams/headlock. Currently stock block/head. My question is, do you (or anyone) have an idea on what numbers I can pull out of my X with the following mods on 93?
Gen II 3576r
3.5" Ets Intake
V3 Extreme Exhaust w/Test Pipe
FIC1200
DW 340lph
Grimmspeed EBC
MAP Cast Mani &
3.5" FMIC
Thanks again for the dope videos. Keep em coming!
impressive numbers on a stock motor...
Hell yea new video!
My Evo x MR 2014 has these modifications:
1- 3” Full exhaust system
2- 3” Widemouth Downpipe
3-ETS intake
4-ETS Intercooler pipe
5-3.5” intercooler
6-EBCS GrimmSpeed
Otherwise it’s stock
93 fuel , how much approximately whp can you get from this modification?
You can get close to 350whp but you won't because you don't have any fuel support i.e. pump and injectors.
@@franciscocruz6726 how much could I get if I upgrade my fuel pump (450) and injectors (1200) ?
@@mralexis727 potentially 350whp on 93 and 380ish on e85.
what would you say is the sweet spot for cam lope timing wise
thought u could do 500 easy with e85 oin that turbo and what exhaust was on his car sounds goood???
Usually yes. I think this car has a cat
Not sure about it exhaust
I know the spark plugs plays major role when increasing fuel and boost pressure. Thus, Mitsubishi has the Lancer Evolution X OEM gap between 0.020 − 0.023 inches (0.5 − 0.6 mm) for a standard value. What do you recommend the spark plug to be gap when we tune or get them tune for increase fuel and boost pressure?
Gap them to what there are supposed to be gapped at and spark plugs should always be gapped correctly Oem standards
I start at .022 for stock turbo below 400
Hey, a new subscriber here!
What software are to using to tune?
U need to be more specific, I use atleast 10 different programs in all based on ecu/platform being tuned
@@bdalchemist I was referring to this specific video, but I’ve actually just got done watching a few of your older videos and I think I’m leaning towards learning ecuflash. I’ve ran Cobb for years (having shops tune for me), but Im wanting to get into the tuning side of things as well, and it seems ecuflash is more accessible to me.
Thanks for all your videos!!!
What did you gap the plugs at?
Chemist what kind of jamaican word that 8:19 in your video IRIE 🤣🤣🤣
Lol
Stock rod and piston?
Yes, un opened motor, stock pistons and rods
Hey man, im in the Milwaukee area.
Whats the best way to contact you about getting some tuning done?
"bdalchemist" on FB or Insta or email youtube@bdalchemist.com
Hello. I just bought an EVO X where are you located ? What state?
Illinois
@@bdalchemist that's what's up I'm in MO. You'll def have a new customer soon. I watch all your vids. You know your stuff and I'm new to the evo world.
if your goal 400 to 450 on mhi 18k , is the cams needed for easier tuning
You can make that easily without cams. You would want cams if you’re trying to hit 500whp or over. It’s not necessary but like being said, it makes it easier.
Tune Subaru too?
Man this client seems like a nightmare hahaha
No, he's a sweetheart , really nice guy but sometimes people skip steps
a lesson DONT LET YOUR CAR SIT FOR MONTHS WITH E85 IN IT KIDS SMH LOL WHAT DID HE THINK
Carlos shouldn’t own an evo. Carlos obviously doesn’t know shit about evos. Don’t be like Carlos.
