I used and/or mentioned a couple of products in this video. I do not have any sponsorships, all items were gifts or purchased by me. Get them at your local shop or find them here:
At the time of this writing, there were a couple of the Raggedy Ann & Andy patterns like I'm showing here available on Etsy.

I loved this video. I made a Raggedy Ann years ago but I didn't see any instructions on doing the hair. I did get hair on her but the way you did it makes so much more sense. Thanks Jennifer.

Thank you! I have tried a variety of techniques, including making the hair kind of like a wig and the sewing it on, but this is by far my favorite way to do it!

I'm working on a project where I basically need to hand sew yarn hair to something oddly shaped. I looked at a few videos and this is the technique that looks like it will work best for what I'm doing. Thank you so much for making such a clear tutorial.

Thank you thank you!! This looks do-able. My Ann has a different hairstyle, with the fringe all around, but then the yarn is pulled thru in long pieces, and stitched in place at the base of her head, so the hair sort of mimics a sixties medium length with a flip up at the ends. And typing that out, I think I understand how to replace that hairstyle. Thank you! I'm so looking forward to getting Deedee back in good shape. I feel so nostalgic for my aunt now; this was her doll. Yay!!! Yes, I'm really happy to have a way forward!

What you describe sounds similar to one of the older simplicity patterns I have. You can absolutely do it!

@@sewhookedjenI would LOVE a tutorial on this style too, I'm definitely a beginner but I'd love to replace the hair on my Raggedy Ann for my daughter ❤️

Is there any way I could reach out to you about helping me with my Andy? He has dry rotted hair aswell but Im unsure whether or not I could find a hair reparing kit for the 1970s knickerbocker dolls.
