Thank you Adeline for sharing your story with all of us.. I really connected with what u said - particularly on how life is never fair and demanding it to be so would make us unhappy.. you're not just a happy botak, but a happy and inspiring botak.. sending lots of love ❤️🌈🥰
The fact that you care for your parents feeling is just touched me, but you are not failing them. Thank you for sharing your story. You are brave young lady.
Adeline, you are beautiful to share your story and courageous to accept your condition. Most people will have to face a health crisis in their lifetime. Being positive will bring happy days back again.
Well said when u mentioned we dunno what we had until we lost it. So cherish what u have, and also what u dont, bcos a coin has two sides, so while u lost ur hair, u gained a whole lot of respect from all of us. Even if u dont recover from this, know that ur hair is really not that important for us to appreciate who u are.
You are a pretty lady with or without your hair, as Singaporean we are already been bless with lots of things which some places some people will never enough or being hopeful of. We have the best medical facilities and a safest place on earth. A man who love you will never be deterred by your hair. We are all born with somehow imperfect. Brave on and you find life even more than what growth on top. God bless and cheers.
Very powerful. I suffered from the same in my late I would try hide it. But then I took the step you did and shaved it off. Did not care what it would look. That was turning point. Twice my hair fell out severely. Twice it grew back. Mysteries but once I became less self conscious it grew back…..blond. Good luck and best wishes. Thanks for telling. Your experience !!
I had the same experience. It started with experiencing a terrible itchiness on the scalp. Then the hairdresser spotted the bald '50 and 20 cents bald spots. It didn't take it seriously at first, then one day, I experienced an extremely itchiness on one of the bald spots and as I was scratching it, a whole bunch of hair just came off. I was diagnosed with alopecia but thank God, it got treated. The doctor injected steroid. It was a painful one. The first time, my head was literally bleeding. But after the second and the third time, it got cured. ( So far, I have my hair back) I had to learn how to control myself not to get too carried away with stress... I noticed,The autoimmune disease will act up very quickly whenever I got too stressed up.I will have rashes something like eczema on the body and the fingers and palms especially...that too had to be treated with steroid when it gets so bad.
Hey Adeline... All sorts of health related problems really suck. But from one person suffering to another... I still think you have very nice features!! You're really a good looking person, hair or no hair. :) and on top of that... Being on here makes you even more beautiful to me!!!
There are people in this world who don't even have a chance to stay alive to see the rest of their life because of illnesses they face... Gratitude is the greatest gift you can give back to the Universe and God for creating you plus your parents who gave birth you..
Adeline, kudos to you for the great strength that you have shown in your journey. Have you explored treatment using dupilumab? It has helped many patients with Alopecia Areata and Totalis. All the best!
You are very strong. But there still bound to be stereotypical and judgemental people who will make derogatory, insensitive remarks and make a mockery out of people suffering from alopecia.
Adeline, I hope you read this before ylur scalp becomes smooth like rambutan. My answer was Neeta's Herbal. 10 treatment. Do their treatment WEEKLY.. and put all the ghe smelly creams on the scalp. I went to the! Bangsar KL wan and it helped me. Make sure same logo if you can find a branch in SG.
The same illness Will smith wife is suffering from.. yet people think it’s funny that Chris rock mocked her bald head and don’t deserve to get slapped!
her optimism is truly admirable.

Thank you for telling us what alopecia is. I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I come to know about this disorder after Will Smith's infamous slap.

We did this interview back in December 2021 :)

it's a love confession song to his long lost hair...
You are beautiful.
Not me thinking Alopecia Totalis is a harry potter Spell :/ ... Stay strong Adeline
STOP ur done

It's an unfortunate ailment, especially for a female I guess, but you just gotta own it. Look at the positives, it could be worse 👍
she is a very brave girl... opening up her disease to the world... will smith's wife should learn from her
You are very strong. But there still bound to be stereotypical and judgemental people who will make derogatory, insensitive remarks and make a mockery out of people suffering from alopecia.
