Because I used to get them frequently from mining, killing monsters, digging etc but the game hasn't dropped any in a long time. Is there something wrong or is it normal?
WOAH I have to complain about #14 which is why I came here, Your tip works for a player with the GOLD HOE, and I feel you should direct it closer to the mark. Granted, it was very easy to find it still because you narrowed it down for me, but still.... Personally I never upgrade hoe before year two. I'll still upvote because you solved my problem ;)

That's impossible. You should start collecting these notes after obtaining the magnifying glass. Check your wallet. You should have it there. Just read a secret note by using it like food.

That happened to me on one of my saves. Did you start the beta in winter? For me, it randomly just happened later in the winter, but it wouldn't work before. When it's the first day it seems to work pretty reliably though. The joys of being a beta tester
No. I didn't start at winter. I was hosting a game with friends and we had started the game from the very beginning. On Winter 1st I walked to the bus station but no Krobus.

Secret Note 19 (Solid Gold Lewis) I got this note and followed it, and your guide but still having a hard time getting the item. Even tried using pickaxe and axe... Any further tips, that might help me in how to actually get the Statue?

I never got secret note #10. I’m confused where you find it and I can’t beat the game without it. I thought you should get it when you reach the bottom of the regular mines but I didn’t get it
All the secret notes spawn randomly, you don't need it to beat the game, and it's at floor 100 of the skull cavern, not the regular mines. Hope this helps!
I know you need to go to level 100 of the skull caverns, I just heard that the note 10 was found at the bottom of the regular mines so I was confused why i didn’t get it, but I understand it’s just in a random location now
I don't know whether you can still find the note or not, but I believe you need to have completed the quest where Mr Qi challenges you to reach level 25 of the skull caverns before you can complete this quest

Go to level 25 at the Skull Cavern and you'll get the secret note 13 (I only saw this from a reply, I never done this and I don't really like going to the Skull Caverns cuz it's hardcore)

You should get the cut scene during winter between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm. Follow the footsteps and touch the bush. This still works on any season, any time, any weather. But only after you got the cut scene

How do you even read the secret notes??? I have tons stored taking space. (Note: i play on mobile and just updated to 1.5) Edit. I solved it soon after i post this comment😅 i play using tap-to-move & auto-attack. So it does nothing when the notes are in inventory When i change the settings to joystick and buttons, i managed to read the secret note by clicking 'check' button
Sorry for the late response, but if you still need help, you need to use your hoe, not pickaxe. I think it needs to be upgraded so you can hold and hit farther, but I'm not sure if it does (or how far it does). Hope this helps
flob adob I actually only found Secret Note #10 right after I completed Mr. Qi’s Quest to reach Level 25 in Skull Cavern. Makes complete sense actually, given that it’s a follow-up Quest to reach 100.
Can you still follow instructions from secret notes even if you haven’t found them yet? Because I’m only missing a few but they seem like the exciting ones and I’m not sure if they’ll still work.
You find them, then you can read them. You read it initially then it goes into the secret note tab. Haven't played for a couple months so I'm just speaking from memory, but I'm pretty sure that's correct
It's at the bottom right of the night market. You walk onto the green boat, then keep walking on the path until you reach the blue boat with a shell on the door. The mermaid show is inside. Hope this helped!

It took me about 12 hours of game time for me. It started off fast and became slower. It's probably normal. Good luck!

You can also just use a pickaxe on the statue from behind the building and it still works.

I would also try going to the right corner at the back of community and try to mine it with pickaxe. That's how i got mine

Did you find the note before digging? I know that some of the notes require the notes before stuff can be dug up. I'm not sure though

Only some of them work without finding the notes. Not sure about which they are, except I'm pretty sure you can get the Pearl without the note

In most cases, yes, you do need to find the note. For some, like the pearl for example, you should be able to get it without the note
