- Classic Game Room HD reviews NHL 10 for Xbox 360, also on PS3 Playstation 3. This CGR review of NHL 10 has gameplay from NHL 10 on Xbox (and PS3) showing game play from NHL 10 from EA Sports footage in HD. Play as the Penguins and rock out to the Scorpions (there are other hockey teams too... if you want to play as them). NHL 10 Hockey for Xbox 360 has achievement points and you can earn achievements in NHL 10 for doing a variety of things to unlock those achievements. Create your own team, create and name your players, design their uniforms and more. Play with new NHL 2010 controls or use the NHL '94 control scheme from the awesome, good old days on the Sega Genesis!! NHL 2010 has a wealth of gameplay options and multiplayer modes to give you enormous value for your dollar (or yen, euro or credit or stack of gold)

Great memories of this game. I remember playing Team Play in EASHL, and scoring a game winning goal in the 4th overtime.
I'm getting NHL 11' for christmas and it's my first time playing a game in the series!really excited for the customization!I've spent hours looking at old NHL uniforms and know I'll have a field day with the jersey customization feature!Thanks for posting your reviews are awesome!!

I used to play NHL '94 all the time. Yeah, that game on the Genesis is THE classic. I haven't really played much video game hockey since, but this looks good. I might have to give it a try. I can't believe it's been 15 years...

Man can i ask you, in the create mode can you rename the city and team name or do you have to pick from their crappy list like in nhl 13?

Oh wow I didn't expect to see Richards knock out Malkin there at the end. Just because I know Mark is a Pens fan. That was epic!

Love the comments and the Penguins I'm a Pittsburgh native. Somebody who has some knowledge about Pittsburgh would only know about Iron City beer too

Just got it. Played 3 games in Season Mode and am unscored against. By far my favorite NHL title, even over 12 and 13. Took me a few minutes to get my touch but once I did the goals just kept going. I need to amp up the difficulty now.

Out of the three players you listed, Mario Lemieux was the only one to play on the Penguins. Gretzky played on the Oilers/Kings/Blues/Rangers whereas Howe played for the Red Wings and Whalers...

Love the reviews, great to see the sega controls are back, Ive missed that, I need to fix my RRoD so I can buy this, huge hockey fan, gotta say, New York Rangers are the shit, loved them back in the sega days when I first got introduced to hockey (7 yrs old) but great review, NHL is the best professional sports league, every game is played as its the last. So I am glad to see an EA sports game on a sport I love not suck, or slowly fade out. NHL 98 is my favorite sega game and sports game.

i bought this game today for xbox 360 for bout 20 euros.(idk what it's in usd..) My last nhl was 2005 for ps2 and it was fun for especially multiplayer(cos of the friggin hard fight over the puck) but this game is fun because it's realistic in many ways. there is no point to buy the newest of the series because imo it hasn't got such a great value to it as the nhl 10. great game and review.

its a great game , got it when it first came out and i still play it today. It just doesn't get boring. Oh & the face offs are actually super easy for me, even on superstar mode :P

also there is an adapter for the ps3 that lets you play with a sega saturn controller so if you got that you could play this EXACTLY like NHL '94

Your right.. I tried 94 way because I thought the controls were tough.. Once I tried 94 Controls.. it took the fun out of the game.. and thought to myself.. "I have to learn the skill stick etc" and I'm happy I did.. I'm not the best at breakaways etc.. But I'll get there..
is making hits easier in this version of the game than the older games where everything had to be perfect to get a hit?
ye i went to see my first hockey game about a month ago (cardiff devils) and it kicked ass! im hooked. so much better than football which seems to be on all the bloody time, and nothing happens!

@delidanks depends what you're more into. If you like hockey, NHL 10 beacuse its amazing
I highly highly highly highly suggest you try the default analog stick controls. Play against the CPU on easy and after a few games you will love it so much you'll never go back to traditional controls.

i'm a huge sports game fan... specially NHL ... but i'm reasonable.. i wouldn't normally spend more then 30 bucks on a game..
the few times i did i regreted it.. but i've been playing this for about 2 months now and i'm still not tired of it..
it is definatley worth the full 69.99 cnd to get it.. rating..
