Noob, you missed one of the biggest things in ISC this week. Ship Hull HP will no longer result in Hard Death, and is going to be the Armour value of you ship.
@@000NULL no, they're still working on Maelstrom & Ship Armour, but with 4.0, the Hull HP value isn't an HP bar that ticks down to your death, but a bar that affects how well weapons penetrate the ship and damage components. Ship explosion will be a possible result from a critically damaged Power Plant failing catastrophically, not a guarantee, nor a result of ship Armour reaching 0.
So is a Cutter going to have a million HP to give you a cahnce to fix things. Seems kind of dumb to put in a minutes worth of engineering gameplay on ships that are blown up in 30 secs.
@@joey193650 you won't be able to straight up blow up a ship just by shooting at it. You'll have to destroy components, and even then the power plant blowing up isn't a sure thing, it's just a chance when it hits 0 health.
I wonder which, if any, of the older ships (Titans, Freeelancers, Razors, Constellations, Auroras, Reliants, Cutlasses, etc.) will be in the first "wave" of "engineering ready" ships. Whatever ships come out first will likely tell us the what flyable ships are in SQ42.
Seeing that you review a lot of flight sticks I was wondering if you would be willing to review one my mate and I are developing. It will be a free 3d printable file that uses an established 3d printable gimbal that we edited to be 3 axis. The is heavily influenced by an iconic SC ship’s stick. We are mostly done with it and about ready to give this version of the stick our first print. We expect it should be ready to the public within the year.
For people who just want to pilot a medium - large ship solo, it seems like these changes suck. I hope it doesn't make these ships multi-crew dependent.
But with engineering will i finally be able to unfk the sabre!! Can i move parts around so the shields arnt in the exact same spot like some caveman designed the component placement
We dont want to run around our ships like lemmings! We want to USE THE COPILOT SEATS with our friends, and manage things from the cockpit. Like its the actual future, ya know? So bad.
We need engineering permission controls. They Dumbed it down and removed per-item power management in favor of basic bars. (They could have just allowed both) You shouldn’t be able to heal fully dead components…it better be expensive. Bullet penetration gives no reason to target anything other than the cockpit or power plant. Big ships will become even more useless in combat now unless the adjust flight and weapons so that big ships can hit little ships from further away than that the little ships can shoot big ships
On fully healing dead components: that's a placeholder I can just about guarantee. There are ships that will not be reworked for the physicalized components at 4.0 launch, and that means you cannot replace or even pull out their current components. This is that work around. Hence why repairing a critical powerplant will let it recover.
@@TheAbominableSnowflakesevery single system in the game is a workaround at the moment. At this stage they'll probably have to just make the placeholders permanent because every placeholder system will need to be replaced, but it interacts with every other placeholder, so becomes impossible to replace without redoing the whole game from scratch.
So, the bigger ship will need inventory ? Are the interiors designed for such needs ? The way damage stacks currently, this is not practical gameplay. To make this work damage is going to have to be slower, which will make combat more tedious and slower. What they want and are implementing are incongruent.
It’s funny you guys that make UA-cam videos a.k.a. content creator lol so stupid. Let them off the hook by calling 4.0 and alpha I thought that 4.0 would be the start of a beta from what I understood

Engineering is, besides science and exploring, super important to me.

Thanks for the summary! As always, very well summarized!
Thanks for the summary.
another great recap of Star Citizen information Noobifier!
thanks nooba this is why i pay my internet!!
Thanks Noob! Appreciate you!
I like the UI for engineering. I can't wait to see if I can cook/freeze my friends! I'll let you know how that goes, once I find some friends.
Lol. If you can't find any friends I guess you could always kidnap some NPC's and try it out on them.
@@BobWobbles They would definitely complain less about it.
Thx for the summary. 👍🏼
Feel like things are getting overly complex and convoluted while simultaneously getting arcady in other areas.
It's not really complex , the surface level is quite simple it's just FTL in 3D , but it can get really deep ! That's a great system imo !
THanks Noob. Looks like more timesink crap.
Going to make for some interesting juggling of systems.

Great resume , thanks
A little multicrew stuff to do during and after combat...
… will we finally be able to lock/cut doors?
Believe it when you see it

I can do as I have done to others and discuss the prototype etc if you like.

I think they mentioned once that operating large ships and it's various parts could be maintened by hired NPC not sure though
Oh and you missed the point where combat will be focused around being zoomed in on your target
@@jakejewkes6688 I mean, I have piloted zoomed in since 2015…

Speak for yourself. I want to madly dash about my ship with a fire extinguisher and space wrench.
Come on. Stop being lazy.
To summarize it basically its the "Make the game feel like a chore and more annoying to play" got it.
And don't forget we get to be longshoremen now too, and get to stacks boxes! Yippee!
But this is what you guys wanted, tho?
Yes I want this. I want to be an engineer on a big ship with my friends.
If it's not your thing, don't do it. Stick to ships and gameloops you enjoy.
This is such a low IQ comment, there is literally no negative to this. It's a huge buff to multi crew ships😂
