men of honor rarely show who and what they are. sometimes its shown upon their chest, sometimes its only shown as a good person as a military person.

The commanding Navy Seal officer who fired him was none other than Richard Marcinko.

When I was in the airforce I received a horrifically bad review by an nco. It was clear that he had an extreme prejudice against me.
His review was an 180 to all my other previous reviews that were very highly regarded and graded.
I put in a re-dress of grievance and won my case.
Sometimes you just have a bad Apple that tries to rain on your parade out of prejudice.
Stick with it and fight the good fight.

I've been fired or had to do a constructive resignation from two jobs. Sometimes you learn more from a couple of losses than all your successes combined. Just don't take it personally, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and head right back into the game.

Would've been much, much better if he spoke in details of what he did as "double the hard work". Most of us know that once you fall from a scenario like this, it'll take you twice as hard to prove your presence to those you let down.. but nothing is more powerful than a word for word come up. Anyone could've said the generic things he said, but it's specially "how" that makes it compelling, and truly reaches out to the individuals who can relate.

Great heroics but every soldier has to ask a serious question when being sent into combat: Are you protecting citizens or actually helping politicians currupt other countries.

He needs to give that talk in every high school , or college to all the big headed seniors as they enter the REALworld, which doesn't just give you a poor grade, but a pink slip that says "YOU'RE FIRED!" Getting only average grades won't make you a candidate for top jobs and big $$$$$$$ in the real, competitive world!

sort off, you get sidelined for promotions and your career doesn't really go anywhere afterward. You have to work really hard after to repair your reputation and worth in order to keep advancing, but it derails your career progress for quite a few years.

Whatever chief. Being in the military and having a civilian career are not the same. I got a project manager who starts off every meeting with " I'm so and so, I commanded 300 men in Iraq and Afghanistan " and ever1 is always like. So fucking what. What does that have to do with the job site

I clicked on it thinking it might be one of the military brass who obummer hatcheted. I'd like to see where those guys are now, and if they'd talk. Probably under non-disclosures though, and could risk their retirement income.
