    Also, for instance, this is not only an excellent informational resource, but also an excellent public educational opportunity. For instance, I did not realize warmer water deeper in the ocean impacted the hurricane strength. I would have only thought the surface temperatures would be significantly important. Fascinating, and I'm glad I learned something. It's truly relevant to help give a deeper understanding of the situation and paints an even more vivid picture of how seriously this situation needs to be taken. Once again, thank you.

      Ya know what is great about living up north with snow? There has NEVER been a named snowstorm. Had hundreds here. Some bad. But never named. Ya know why because we don’t have to. You can name all your storms because THEY ARE HORRENDOUS. I do kinda some snow storms but NEVER EVER by name or what they did. I just can’t just any way that I’d go through the hell it takes to endure that. No way. My most experienced parents even moved back up north after 25 years in Florida. It almost bankrupt them to spend thousands on condo repair and assessments and untold abject fears of those storms. All the I love the great weather here people are just stuck there. They have to sell themselves that lie. And it’s just that va big fat lie.

    Someone who can do so, please make sure this extremely intelligent and skilled meteorologist who made this stellar presentation knows the public exceedingly appreciates this timely and detailed analysis of the developing hurricane Ian scenario. It is a pet peeve of mine, and I'm sure also for many others, when arrogant "experts" talk down their noses to the public as if we are all a bunch of helpless stupid children (which is true, unfortunately, for a small segment of the public) and dumb down their presentations. It's cringe worthy. This man, this consummate professional, treats his viewership with the detail, depth, and respect they deserve. Bravo

    I am a scientist, physician and clinical researcher and this is by far the best meteorological report I have ever seen in my professional life. I learned so much and understand the report. His analogies are common sense, like an ice skater doing a spin, a greater speed with arms closer to the body, therefore high wind speed closer to the eye. Perfect explanation (Bravo Bravo) .
    I understand hurricane more now in this single video than 40 years listening to other “weather” people. I am going to watch this guy weather report for now on.

    • @alphaforce6998

      Yeah, or you could just, you know, look out your window...then confirm by going outside.

    • @Flightdevildoc
      @Flightdevildoc Рік тому

      @@alphaforce6998 Although going outside sounds like a good idea, it is inaccurate in so many levels as our human senses are not calibrated to perfectly measure temp, winds, etc. In addition humans are incredibly diverse in terms of what we perceived to be warm, hot, cold, etc. The best we can do when we go outside is to guess, which also depends on experience. Now as an outdoor and survival enthusiasts, grew up in a farm, and who have lived (not days but months to years) in tropical, dessert and mountain environments, I think I acquired a humble decent sense of weather prediction, but still it is not as accurate as a good 21st century weather report (or app) that is based on advanced technology. I believe this is more important when it involves a storm, as just going outside only tells that winds are increasing and something is coming on my way, but what else is also coming, tornadoes, more rain, etc. Maybe when I am 100 years old, my weather guesses will hopefully be highly accurate, will see. However, as a scientist, I want accuracy, no guesses. 😎
