- For almost 50 years, Jackie Milburn held the record of Newcastle's all time top scorer. In 14 years at Newcastle, he scored over 200 goals, and took the club to 3 FA Cups. He remains adored at St James' Park, with a stand bearing his name.

There are three Milburn statues the two bronze 1991 and 95. The first at newcastle the second in Ashington. The last, the 98 was in fibreglass, I believe that one is in storage

Jack was my uncle Reg likely best friend at Ashington Colliery, Reg was my Granddad's sister Betty's husband, got a vague memory of being on Reg's lap heck knows how old I was haha.
Can't for the life of me remember why but me Dad (who was born well north of the toon but... lol) has Jack's England badge.
A great story of Reg and Jack was when Reg couldn't pass his driving test, so Jack asked if he could sit in on it, so then on all the examiner and him kept talking about was United and yeah.... lol.
