it really is, and so much easier then I was expecting. I've been making so many pins and such that my mum has asked if I could help her embellish some things for the house, haha.
She used epoxy resin in the video. There's a lot of different brands that you can use. I usually use art resin and I order mine from either ebay or Amazon.
Great video. Few questions, how long did you wait in between the pours? (That info flashed as text on the screen would be super helpful) also, was the piece fully cured or soft when you drill? Thanks, I did enjoy it
About an hour or 2 between the pour so that it all doesn't sink in to each other. I use a small hand drill to drill for an eyelet after the piece has cured.
Thanks! I actually usually just use a nail file to sand the overhang - but mostly I try to be really careful when casting and clean up any drips so I don't have too much to sand after curing :)
how do you get no bubbles in your epoxy before you pour? I know to allow the resin to sit after being mixed for 5 minutes or so.. but even then I have so many bubbles. I think my epoxy is too cold? are you careful of the temperature of the epoxy?
Sadly the shop doesn't carry the mold anymore, went to get more once I tried the one I got and their out I keep checking hoping they do. Shop name is seiyas6 if you want to check in.
Hii. Im new to your channel and ive already subbed. But whats that liquid you've been pouring into the mold. Im kinda new to this and REALLY want to try it!! ;)
ManiacalLaugh You can buy them from wish.com, or a beauty supply shop in the nail section ( because it is the same type of things they use on fancy embellished manicures.
No, the fire is to get rid of any air bubbles. You just lightly wave it over very quickly, its the heat from it that makes the air bubbles come to the surface and pop. You can also gently blow through a straw and your warm breath will do the same thing.
Sofie, you've inspired me to begin making fun resin charms myself! I've made dinosaurs and unicorns and robots, and it's been so friggin fun.
Yay! I'm so glad. It's seriously addictive :D

Katie Puchowski, are you using two-part epoxy resin? If so, are you stirring your epoxy slowly? Stirring slowly helps keep bubbles from forming.
