- Come resin with me today as we try out my first set of silicone resin molds. These molds come with a special cavity for you to add shaker charms and glitter. We will be using epoxy resin to fill in the mold and then add shaker accessories. Watch each step of the craft project and see how they turn out.

I suggest to not put water with the glycerin inside the shaker. Water molds- and smells after time. just to be safe, use baby oil

Also straight glycerin on shakers with lots of heavy things in the inside for the slow fall effect.

@@determinds2675 That sucks! The crafting community on Instagram has been (mostly) helpful for me, but some people definitely keep these things to themselves for some reason. legit. it drives me so crazy. if you created it, i get it, but even then theres enough crafters that can figure things out and shortcut things, so even if you're the FIRST PERSON to create something, at that time i'd utilize that moment. i'd tell them that I was the original and this is how i actually achieved it. i'd also give props to those who actually figured out the same method i used just because we need to prop each other up in crafting community. and if you're a multi community member, like me, crafting, cosplay, kpop, its even more important because of the toxicity of some.

I bought this before and actually,I liked em!The fact how they already made holes where we put baby oil in already!When I first saw the holes,I was like "OMG NO I RUINED IT!!!"....until I saw this video and I was like "oh.It's suppose to look like that".

@@icansurviveuniversity.imra1405 If it was a joke, alrighty then. Ignore me. If not: They aren't meant for children in general. There are shakers specifically made for children. Resin shakers are meant to be charms, decorations, or used in other kinds of things.

If you CHEAP resin supplies. Go on Aliexpress. I dont work for them but I love them. Spending 20$ on Ali is like spending over 100$ at other shops. You get so much
@jiggly puff yes it is. I've been receiving items there for years. I get 30 packages a month and I'm not sick nor had many issues with receiving my items

Wow the little things that you put inside the shakers its like little fruits!! There so cutee I wish I could get these but I don't know where they have those.
Your shakers are great and the colours are so bright I love the idea of sprinkles. I have got all the molds you have but haven't used then yet as not to sure how much resin to put into each mold if only doing one or the lot and nobody seems to tell you how much to use please help as very new to this art xxx
You just fill it up to the top 😄 give it a try with one and have fun!
This is a random thought but you could totally get a pan to put your molds in and the take a “personal massager” and out under the pan to act like a diy vibration table to get the bubbles out and settle the sprinkles while curing.
oh that's an interesting idea! I wonder if the vibration might be too much for the resin :)
Wear a properly fitted respirator and goggles with vapor cartridges so you don't get sick from the fumes...and make sure you're in a well ventilated area...outside if possible.

These are great but I would use baby oil, it is cheap and works well without the worry of the water going off.
Love how your shakers turned out! I’m new to resin and really want to try making these, but they look difficult with the film and injecting the liquid. No idea where to even buy a syringe without looking like a heroine addict! 🤣
It takes some patience, try doing a few at a time. You can get all the supplies on Amazon 😄
