Love the game or hate it, you can’t lie about this scene being one of the best in the game
I think for the majority of people, the spectacle, acting, action, characters and scenes ALL that shit is pretty awesome and enjoyable by itself. But if my ass is coming literally out TLOU Part 1 with that Sarah watch still seared into my brain you best believe I'm strapped in to enjoy the greatest god damn emotional and philosophical roller-coaster this year. To say I was let-down doesn't do justice to my disappointment.

Sydney so the woman being hung is Abby? She doesn’t look or sound trans, plus she’s voiced by Laura Bailey who’s a born female woman. Also the main seraphite mentioned nested sin while pointing a blade at her stomach. I think Abby’s just a really buff born female girl

Seeing this scene in-game was even more shocking, given the context and who Lev and Yara are in the game. Absolutely incredible cinematic
Still one of my favourite scenes in the game. The shrill strings are a great choice for the whole vibe of the Seraphites.
It's so creepy and awesome. The seraphite are really cool villains.

Not that I'm an expert or anything, but one of the really cool reasons why this scene is amazing is because of the suspense you feel for the main character. Traditionally when a main character is in a dangerous situation you never feel tension because you always know they're going to make it out and survive ('plot armor'), but here when you watch this you never feel that same guarantee. Sure there are probably some viewers who can always see through the illusion and have the suspense ruined for them, but its nice to see Naughty Dog really put in the effort directing-wise to keep the audience on edge.

Gotta say I love this game but I do have complaints and my biggest one was that they start of Abby’s day 1 was such a drag. After that it kicked into high gear but still
It took too long for me, cutting back to Abby's past at the climate of the story had to be one of the most jarring pacing choice I've ever experienced in a story, it killed all the momentum.
The gore itself blew CoD WWII out of the water. Fantastic camera angles and atmosphere.
Sound design is amazing! From the Rain drops to the flames blowing in the wind! 👂🍬

I actually figured that this would be the "origins" of the villain character for Part 2. I never would've guessed that they'd fuck it up by having you switch sides mid-game and slaughter your favorite characters.

What would've been wrong is if he left Ellie to be killed by those nut sacks performing their science experiment that wasn't guaranteed to work. If they new Ellie was their last hope of a cure then they should have found another way, tried other things before resorting to ending her life in hopes of their first idea working. I'd have done exactly what Joel did.

We have now properly got to the stage where games can be classed as proper art. They have always been "art" to me but to the average joe, watching something like this will surely make them realise that they have now ascended from beyond something "kids do" and to a point where the average Netflix viewer will say "i don't want to watch the movie, we can play, we can control the movie".
