As Tyler's dear Old Dad, I can say this was for sure one of my better videos! Tyler usualy out fishes me 5 to 1 but I think I held my own on that day! In jr high and high school we fished together a lot, you would think I'd be better by now... anyway, we don't get the chance to fish together as much now but it's always a great time when we do. I love that boy and I'm so proud of him!
It was absolutely awesome to watch you two having a blast out there! There is no joy quite like having a good time and a few laughs with your dad or son. Not to be a downer, but it did hit me in the feels as my dad was just diagnosed with a rare kind of cancer and started treatment yesterday. Survival odds are pretty good, but he has serious issues with his heart as well. I just hope I get the chance to take him fishing a few more times, or atleast one more time.
The banter between you two is pure gold and to think he sold his wakeboard boat to make memories with you in a bass boat. Amazing story! You guys had me cackling at the end.

Man... your dad was cracking me up with those hook sets! I'm guessing he learned to fish with mono like I did. There are still times when I'm thinking about something other than focusing on my fishing and I kind of let a fish have an old school hook set. Honestly, with hooks being as sharp as they are now, big hook sets aren't necessary and they have a tendency to cost us fish by ripping a big hole in the fishes mouth area. A nice wrist snap with larger hooks works for me and with smaller stuff, I just pull back to keep tension and let the fish hook itself most of the time. Thanks for sharing this one. It was a fun one!

Nice lunker! I always like a big, genuine bass without a big belly and just a hog. Season ends up in the pnw October 1 for hunting, but next year I’m hoping for a new rod and new pb’s!

Tyler with all due respect, you should probably just let your dad fish instead of nitpick everything he’s doing. He’s probably walking on eggshells being in your boat and having you criticize everything he’s doing. I get showing him something but say it in a way that is respectful.

Cannot say anything about someone's long-time relationship with a Dad on how they get along the way they do, when you don't know anything about them in how they treat each other.
