I am reviving my dad’s 7.3 after 10 years of sitting and the brake lights are doing the same thing now. Going to try this part. 🤞windshield was leaking and it’s been fixed.
we missed you man hope all is well and the family is good and healthy but keep the color i love it..... the oil cooler is not hard but yes drain oil and coolant and make sure the o-rings are oem!!!! i learned the hard way make sure the face of the block is super clean and on the oil cooler make sure the its not egg shaped the o-rings should be a dark purple and i believe blue and the gaskets the silicone part need to be blue not black (black=leak) i used engine assembly lube with a ratchet strap and mark both sides so you know how it goes back on and what ever you do do not over tighten the front 2 bolts they bolt into aluminum and its not fun (been there done that even got a t-shirt) but if you can use a shop press makes life so much easier (ive seen and heard people use there truck as a press with there trailer hitch) anything else were here to help lol but glade the o girl is back
My oil cooler would Leak lots of oil on cold mornings. It’s pretty easy to pull the back bolts and pull the tube. I replaced the orings. You got lucky it’s leaking external. Many times when they leak it mixes the oil and coolant. I run rotella elc in both of my 7.3s. Might as well add a coolant filter too. I made my own vs using a kit.
I've had my truck for 14 years. Oil cooler o rings went out in driveway. (Thank god) hpop line to cylinder head blew a leak one night about a mile from home. It blew oil everywhere!! I don't know if thats common but it will stop you dead in your tracks. Make sure you change the o rings on your cooler. Hardest part is getting cooler back together. Lube o rings real good .
Hey man. I’m having the problem where my brake lights and turn signals work but my rear marker lights won’t turn on. My dash lights also went out but I was able to find the fuse that went bad on that. But I can’t figure out the tail light issue
Only thing I can think of is the connector at the back of the bed! There’s a wire that runs back to a plug, and then branches off to feed the taillights! Follow your wires from the taillights down and you’ll find it
highly suggest using motorcraft brand to anyone looking to change this part i’ve changed mine with one from napa and it caused my torque converter to not lock in. fixed the brake lights messed up TC lock
I appreciate the suggestion!!! I have already purchased the diff cover, and I’m excited to show you what I went with! It’s not a big square cover, and it was under $100… aluminum, and has the fins 😏
I have replaced this fuse and i still don’t have brake lights. All lights work except brake lights. They were working just fine and one day after it rained heavily it caused this situation. Plz help.
You can fix it for free you don’t have to replace it the brake switch has tabs so you can open it there will be 2 pinstripes you can pull them up you have to clean them the reason the brake lights don’t work is because the 2 pins that make contact when brake pedal is pressed to turn the brake lights on gets burnt from making contact so much
Where can I get that cotter pin. My lights are out and this plastic bs part is pissing me off. What presses the plunger in to engage break lights. There is nothing there
Ooof finally ! Good Vid man ! Been watching you since 2018 !
Thank you for sticking around so long! That’s amazing man
@@TurboDrivenAustin yeah man
Worked like a charm on my 2003 F-450 Super Duty. Problem solved!

Go with the Banks rear diff cover! Don't waste your money on those square covers
I appreciate the suggestion!!! I have already purchased the diff cover, and I’m excited to show you what I went with! It’s not a big square cover, and it was under $100… aluminum, and has the fins 😏

Where did you get the blacked out badges?
Took them off and spray painted them with a high heat matte paint!
So I did this and my tail lights still won’t come on, what now?

Cut the bs and get on with it
