Yeah the story behind this song I'm not so certain about, but I'm guessing something similar to the story you told. If you want more Versailles suggestions I would probably suggest Masquerade, as not many react channels have done that one in a while and it's a good song of there's. Was actually the first Versailles song I ever heard.
