@@mickdevlin I'm not a utd fan, but still I am overwhelmed with the emotion. I think that side would have won the European cup making them the first British side to achieve that. I missed out on not seeing Duncan Edwards who would have been in his prime then.
I’m a Man City fan and this transcends rivalry. What people never talk about is that every rival fan, Liverpool included were willing united to recover
My dad was born in manchester in the 30s, though he came over here to ireland with my grandparents in 1952 . All my manchester family are United fans . I remember dad telling me about his cousin who stood in the crowd when the decesed babes came home and were laid to rest . He told me the crowd was full of city and united fans united in grief . Sir Matt Busby was a former city player too .

They'd never have been on the plane if they were allowed to wait a day for the weather to clear. If anyone is to blame it's the representative of the league who told them they'd have to forfeit points if they weren't back in the country just because he didn't want United playing in Europe.
No doubt that ENGLAND could have won the 1958 World Cup had Tommy Taylor and Duncan Edwards lived. Taylor had scored 8 goals in the 4 qualifying games and Edwards easily dominated all defenders. Even without them England were the only team who took points off the eventual Champions Brazil at the tournament. What might have been.
England could have won 1958 and 1962 World Cups then had the Busby Babes survived. Cos most of the England team would have been Man Utd players. They say Edwards could have been lifting the 1966 World Cup not Bobby Moore.
God bless and protect the Busby Babes. I hope they're still playing in heaven. Let those young men be forever in our thoughts. And RIP to Sir Matt, Jimmy Murphy and Harry Gregg.
RIP MANCHESTER UNITED PLAYERS AND STAFF AND OTHERS. ALWAYS REMEMBERED NEVER FORGOTTEN 💔😭 I was doing ok until the Stained glass window was shown that hit me hard. The ending was emotional with the male voices sing What will be will be. #GreatLegends #FlowersofManchester #We'llNeverDie
I'm a Manchester City fan and I really can't understand the awful songs and chants SOME people still sing and say. Rivalry, fine, death mocking, ABSOLUTELY NOT! It's disgusting. The ones who do this should watch this. Frank Swift was killed. Played for City. Sir Matt Busby was badly injured but thankfully survived. Played for City and Liverpool. STOP THE CHANTS AND SONGS! That goes for Hillsborough as well. NONE of it is funny 😡
And isn't it lovely to hear that true gentleman Joe Mercer. I'm United, but always loved watching Joe's City. Colin Bell? if you didn't see him, you missed out.

RIP Sir Bobby, last of the babes
David Gaskell, Wilf McGuiness, and Jeff Whitefoot still with us.
Off to Munich in February to remember this team. They shall not grow old as we grow old....

Hi ya, Is your website down?
I don’t think it’s true that the players were young for footballers you can see from footage and photos that they were well in there 30s!
The Busby babes had an average age of 21 when they died
