  • Part one of my conversation with current Poco drummer Rick Lonow, discussing the origin story of “call it love“ (a single from Poco‘s “legacy” album that he cowrote), his early days in Nashville, as well as his time in the Flying Burrito Brothers and Burrito Deluxe - which included Sneaky Pete Kleinow and Garth Hudson.

yeah, Rick has great stories...this visit flew by so quick that I didn't realize how long we'd been talking.

Tom, Thanks for the enlightening conversation and especially when the Amazing Rhythm Aces comes up! This is another band that no one has heard of until they hear them! I have been in the same admiration boat since I first heard Too Stuffed to Jump! I play tracks from "Chock Full of Country Goodness" for people and it is literally jaw dropping! Didn't know Rick was using their bass player! Damn, this stuff is fun!
