I did think at the end of L word, that Tina and Bette got past this issue...I mean they were strong together when the series ended. These issues were the at the core of why they broke up; along with Bette’s infidelities. I guess the writers chose to bring them up as the reasoning for their divorce.
Tina loves Bette to the core of her being, it’s obvious, but I don’t think she can handle being with her ‘relationships wise’ knowing that she will get lost again in Bette’s all consuming world.
And it’s true... Bette’s life has ALWAYS taken presidents over everything, we know this. Tina has finally set boundaries in her life; and although it’s good to see, I can’t help but root for these two to be together. The love, God the love...it shines thru every scene they are in. Amazing!
