Aye I see what you mean, their style has changed a fair bit, but you can still hear a lot of what makes them what they were/are/will be. I like it when bands develop but don't just soften up to become more accessible. Yet to see them live, but from videos I've seen you still get their older heaviness with some more of the electro stuff that's been floating arround for years brought to the forefront (Rout remixes etc) And you're welcome - I like to think of myself as a true gentleman of UA-cam.
No, they've been using elements since they first began. On TTTS there are loads of electronic elements and modulated basslines. That's kind of what makes Shikari.. well, Shikari. Don't even argue with that. Rou's even said before that since the beginning Rory's brother has been ramming Drum and Bass and electronic synths or whatever down there neck since he's a DJ. And for that matter so is Rou. There's no denying they've used Dubstep since day 1, because they have. Any true fan would know that.
It depends on the song. He may be remixing it live, while other songs he manually does some of it and puts it on loop. He could also be changing the sound if its off.
In fairness, they did drop another half step, presumably for his comfort. But it's not just Take to the Skies, I've seen several live videos where he skimps out a bit on songs like Juggernauts and Solidarity. Not hatin', just something I've noticed.
Okay it was a Bit over kill to say they've gone as far as Standard pop and indie but they are defiantly swaying towards more dubstep and losing what made them so good back when TTTS came out and i have to thank you for not being some jackass saying that i'm talking crap and actually giving a valid point as i find this is a rarely occurring thing on UA-cam nowadays.
Shikari have been using elements of Dubstep and Drum and Bass since day one. It's not like they've only just introduced it on their new album. And even if they have changed, they still sound as awesome as ever.
Rou's least favorite song to play live..& you can totally tell. His energy is usually 500% for every song, but tones it down to about 90% for thiss. He admitted it when i saw them last April. Unbelievable show
been sat here for the last 10 minutes crying with laughter over it. oh my god.
The guy at 1:25 had me crying with laughter HAHA
the best Sorry You're Not A Winner performance ever!!!
Mate the years passes through, and their old songs gets better versions. That finale was fucking awesome

That outro is intoxicating
3:56 The pinnacle of electronically enhanced breakdown
I literally laughed so hard for 5 minutes when I originally saw this
since this song came out long ago its gonna change with the band and culture so the addition of dubstep at the end!!\m/
You just know they couldn't stop grinning at that crowd singer
They're probably going to be on the next Live DVD.
He took the mic away from him when he realised he was terrible.
omg, 1:26 i'm dying :') it's so cute though!

Holy shit, the crowd actually clapped in time 0____o
That outro was. FUCKING INSANE!!
You should have recorded more in Manchester :)
UnfuckingBelievable!!!! Your not a Winner of a major award.... THIS WAS EPIC

so much win.

OH GOSH!
Dayuuuum
That fucking outro. That fucking outro. Holy fuck balls yes.
It wasn't included in take to the skies though. Mothership's probably their best song live.
i havent seen this song live in a while, so i was wondering if they would tweek it any
and all i have to say is, omg..that fucking outro...
Full set playlist of the show at : ua-cam.com/play/PLspwx0TMFxafR2D4kTRs9MzvXywagyvLa.html
Watch the Camden videos, especially the Gap in the Fence video, he's actually really good.
please redo this song to this version
I think they should include that after the remixed part!
when are we getting a new live album man!!
synaw wasn't even on ttts but I do agree with you. Motherstep with that brutal intro aswell
Fuckin' INSANE would have loved to be there...
1:26 - sounds like my father, when he's drunk ...
Why is Rou wearing a hat inside? Because he's fucking awesome!
Note to self: London concert.
Fucking hell, the breakdown at the end
hahahahahaha Rou's mini air thrust at the start
"It's my way or the highway, boys!!!"
this is great ! but where the EmX intro ?
I think they should re-release the best songs from Take to The Skies with their modern twist
Okay it was a Bit over kill to say they've gone as far as Standard pop and indie but they are defiantly swaying towards more dubstep and losing what made them so good back when TTTS came out and i have to thank you for not being some jackass saying that i'm talking crap and actually giving a valid point as i find this is a rarely occurring thing on UA-cam nowadays.
najlepiej dobrany zespół świata ._.
I feel like, from watching the other videos from this show as well, that Rou was drinking a bit before the show.
that one guy in the audience has a pretty decent scream/shout
I lol'd
Shikari have been using elements of Dubstep and Drum and Bass since day one. It's not like they've only just introduced it on their new album. And even if they have changed, they still sound as awesome as ever.

The crowd looks fucking insane.

Enter Shikari! Y u no put videos up from March 23rd?!
I asked them on their tumblr a while ago and they said they would never do that :/
that outro.
shikari pls.
My way or the highway:D
ES should rerelease TTTS with the new stuffs they have added to the songs, like Return to Energiser with the reworked bridge and SYNAW with this outro
is there an offficial recorded ending of this song, because all i can find is either live or a emx version
this song's obviously dedicated to the guy at 1:26
If you are the mic grabber at 1:26, I salute you for having the most fucked up voice of all time.
That jacket/beanie combo reminds me of Jesse from Breaking Bad.
I said elements of Dubstep and Drum and Bass. For one, Mothership.
"its my way or the highway, boys" - I think!
Shit! this is fucking crazy!
I wonder if Rou ever got his hat back?
Dislikers are not a winners, sorry.
That is a real audience, not like the ones in my country. (México)
¡QUE RICO!
MWY WHITE ABWODE
he threw it dow onto the stage before he crowd surfed
Motherstep. It counts.
Epic Mic hump at 0:09
i'm clapping like 5 years ago
SYNAW is on TTTS
