One of my favourite Nikon’s. It supports TTL flash metering, third auxiliary contact on hot shoe. I think this was the first body to have it, before the FA.
Cool series. Would be cool to see the 16mm with the blue light in the background. And perhaps a video to compare the 16mm with the 30mm (?) and the 50mm. I feel the framing of the 16mm is best for your setup, but the quality of this and the 50 are better because there's no distortion. I'd recommend you fix your ISO in the camera so it doesn't jump light and dark.
I bought an FG in the mid-80s as a back-up, but sold it soon as I never used it. I bought another FG about 6 years ago after I realized just how good a body it is. Not a fan of the Series E lenses. They are not multi-coated at a time when practically every lens made by anyone was. (Just Nikon's giving the finger to cheap-ass customers.) The 50mm is quite good, but it's as expensive as several Nikkor options which are as good or better. The 100mm is excellent, but is uncommon and priced with the 105mm 2.5, which is better. The 75-150mm zoom is said to be excellent. The rest are indifferent, except for the 28mm, which may be the worst prime lens Nikon ever made. (If they made it.)
I have a FG with a stuck mirror. The shutter tripped and stayed open.
I have changed the batteries, and even set the shutter speed m90. No soap
Underrated SLR. Very versatile. Yields excellent results. The glass is inexpensive. Can't go wrong. Excellent value.
I agree on all points.

Thank you for the feedback and suggestions. Will do.
