Appreciate you reviewing this specific unit man. I commented on a video of yours requesting a review on this specific Oled flip model a few weeks back and you actually did it. Props to you for going out of your way to listen to your followers, genuinely impressed with your content.

Nice first look at the Asus Zenbook 14 Flip OLED (2023). Asus is another company I really like as they're killing it with their laptops. Their OLED screens are simply gorgeous and they do bring a lot to the table with the included accessories of the pen, ethernet dongle as well as the sleeve. Looking forward to your follow-up on this laptop Andrew! 👍😁

I have the i5-1340p version of this laptop (UP3404) since last May but I'm not gonna spoil it for everyone. Let's just say I am loving this laptop. Can't wait to hear what you think about it, though.

for some reason i can't find a combination of Asus laptops that i can pull the trigger on. their lineup is sooo confusing. i don't like the blue, i'm not a fan of the exterior design, the AMD's seem to work better than most intel chips for battery and performance, the 13's are more expensive than the 14's which makes no sense. Asus is really messing this up.

My S14 Flip laptop. I was working and left it for a few minutes. When I came back, I was surprised to be asked for a new PIN code and that the old one was disabled and could not be accessed (explorer.exe - System Error). The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application) I felt frustrated and spent 9 hours trying to solve the problem, but the problem was not solved, and I do not know what is the reason for this problem. By the way, it is a completely new laptop that has been in service for only 4 months, an Asus S14Flip Ryzen 5600 laptop, a Radeon card, and RAM. 8 JB and its performance was very slow when browsing websites, but I noticed that sometimes its temperature increased.

Why every usable port is set to the right side? The only time to use the mouse is when there are not ports connected bummer

The Canadian version doesn't come with any of those accessories except the AC adapter.

That moment when you realise time and money was spent on inproving the unboxing experience INSTEAD of the device you bought.
    Nice vid.

Looks like a nice PC. It appears to be similar in some ways to the HP 14 in Spectre. Great First Looks review. Looking forward to the full review.

Better than the Lenovo Yoga 9 & HP Spectre X360. The soundbar on the Lenovo is great & the webcam kill switch on the HP is a nice addition. But this Asus is a great offer for the price. MacBook Air M2 killer!!
Wish the screen was 120Hz refresh instead of 90

lost fingerprint sensor compair to 2022 version, asus moved the power button to a bad position (why they not keep the same keyboard layout same as 2022 version)

Here in Australia we don't get the sleeve. My old sleeve from my old Zenbook does fit it, but it would have been nice to have a sleeve included in my UP3404 also Asus au haven't included the USB a to ethernet adaptor.

Does this have any Screen door effect ? I think Screen door effect on OLED laptop are very common on Asus /HP and Lenovo these days. Might not be a big deal for most of the people but it bothers me as I need to work on white background like excel/Word and screen door effect is more prominent on light background.

I am in deep contemplation between Zenbook 14x and this one. Both are same price, but 14x, I got i9 processor. Not sure if I really need up to i9 as my main job is system development (not the cpu intensive type of application development). From my reading, the flip has the advantage of better battery life, touch screen, and the flip of course. But not sure if these can compensate the performance of i9 processor. I am not into gaming anyway. The video comes at the right time. Hope to see more details in term of performance and battery life. What do you guys think?

The flip or 360 is literally a huge huge huge game changer if you are the suitable user.
Once I bought a Lg gram 360. Never ever going back normal laptop.
Tent mode is so damn usefull when I want to use my good Bluetooth keyboard for typing, or when I want to do some exercise in room at the same time watching video, or watching some videos before going to sleep, or watching video when eating outside.
      Tent mode shines.
My laptop literally on tent mode 80 percent of the time, 180 degree 10 percent of the time, tablet mode 5 percent and normal laptop mode 5 percent.

I've had my zenbook 14 flip (i5 1360p) for around 6 months now and i love the versatility. I never ran into an issue with processing power. I used benchmarks to make my decision between the i5 and i7. the main difference i found is that the i5 version outperforms the i7 on multi core processing and the difference in single core performance isn't that big of a difference. Im not sure what you'll prioritize for software development (i use mine for Data science , so i need multi core performance ) but I doubt the performance gap between i7 and i9 will not be enough to justify the trade off in battery life. Just my opinion, but if you think you really need that extra bump in performance and don't mind plugging in most of the time, then i say go for it.

@@joevaghn457 That's the problem, you CAN'T upgrade this RAM. So you're paying a premium price for a machine with a massive limit.

ASUS 14 Pro 2023 was a great laptop unfortunately I see this one has the same keyboard and it felt cheap very plastic and clicky. HP ZBook premium and Lenovo keyboards feel the best. Asus needs to make that one fix and they are golden. Just a bit of stiffness and less key travel.
