Good morning garden friends it’s fall season and MUMS are blooming!!! The garden centers are LOADED with mums! I hope this video helps you to choose wisely. Happy gardening! 🧡🧡🧡Liz
Good morning Andrea and thank you for taking the time to visit me today. So many moms at the big box door I can get so confusing. I appreciate your comment.🧡🧡🧡Liz
Love the Mum's growing up back east in the Niagara Falls region, mum's were always the complete look for Indian Summers whether they were planted in wooden barrels or large stone planters or in the ground, the kaleidoscope of golds, oranges, yellows, and crimson reds matching the enormous maple trees in bursting out full autumn color. It really lets you know just how magnificent an artist God is. It's reminiscent of one of my fondest memories. Another great video, as always great advice calming narration thanks to Miss Liz. It is so true when buying plants they are actually selling the pot for more than the plant. The good ole dollar store always has the cheapest decorative pots. Have a blessed day Liz.
Good morning Kelly and I thank you once again for such a heartfelt and intentional comment. I love your way with words when referring to mums being a kaleidoscope of colors. You truly have a gift of writing. It sounds like the moms where you are bloom frequently throughout the year as they do for me as well. They also bloom in the spring and summer so crazy How different areas effect plants. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement Kelly and hope you have an amazing and blessed day. ❤️👍😀🧡Liz
Thank you, Jasmine. I love them all too. I’ve come to realization that I can no longer go to the garden centers just to “look.” That way of thinking always gets me in trouble. Hahaha 😆Liz
Good morning Liz Great Tip 👍 Last year I purchased those $3 mums, planted them in my garden, dead-head them after they bloomed and they rebloomed twice! Happy Fall 🌻🌻🌻
Good morning and happy fall Diane. I appreciate you taking the time to visit me and thanks for sharing your mom experience. My mom‘s bloom a few times as well. It’s so crazy. I thought they just bloomed in fall but mine also bloom in spring and /or summer. We definitely have crazy California weather don’t we. Haha 😆❤️👍Liz
Good morning myAustralianfarmhouse I love them all too. It’s so hard to choose. Wow your blooms last a long time that is good to know. Thank you for taking the time to comment.❤️👍🥰🧡Liz
Thanks for the great tips! I have not had good luck with mums in the past so this year I got a few of the small (and cheaper ) ones and am hoping for the best. Looking forward to seeing which ones you choose and where you plant them if you get mums this fall❤
Good morning Ginger I’m sorry you didn’t have good luck withyour mum‘s. The previous yearThey are extremely cheap this time of year because the inventory is so abundant and they need to sell them fast. So it doesn’t hurt to buy a couple and give it a try. Muns in my garden zone bloom about two or three times it’s so crazy. I did not buy any mums this year because I still had muns Growing from last year. Because my garden is not very big I don’t have room for everything. Thank you for your comment and I hope you have better luck next season. ❤️👍🧡Liz
Next year I want to try hardy perrenial mums! Also going to plant Coco marigolds from seed. I used colorful foliage plants this year and it was much more lasting😊❤.

I agree Ginger… colored foliage plants are the way to go! They always look nice and no need or depending on flowers. 👍👍👍Liz
