Good morning Panagiotaskoylida, my sweet dear friend. You are so kind. I love your choice of words and the way you describe things. Yes, I have tea in my garden every morning and enjoy my blessings and gift from God. Thank you for taking the time to visit me.❤️❤️❤️ Liz
Good morning! I made the mistake of planting marigolds during the low AZ desert hot summer. They never really did well. Next time I will try them for fall/winter. So many plants struggled just like the humans did!!! As always, your garden tours are so beautiful and relaxing! May God continue to bless you!
Good morning June. I don’t think Marigold in your desert heat was a mistake. Maybe next year try planting them again but every day go outside and hose them off with the garden hose. I learned that trick this year. I learned from another channel that if we hose them off every day, it keeps spider mites away, and they love their leaves being cleaned off with water. Usually I don’t have good luck with marigolds. But this year I hosed them off and sprayed them every day with water and it made all a difference in the world. So maybe try that next year before giving up on them. Just a thought. I appreciate you taking the time to visit me. ❤️👍😇Liz
Right on julissag I agree this cooler weather is definitely a nice break for us all including our plants. I’m starting some cooler season vegetables now myself. Now just when I’m starting to get comfortable it’s probably gonna start to get cold. Hahaha 😆😆😆Liz
Your garden looks great. I gave up a few weeks ago. Its just been to hot and i was so tired of spending my time watering. I have lost so many plants this year, that im over even going outside.
Oh my goodness, Liz I totally feel your pain. I’m about to throw in my trowel as well. LOL Just in the last few days so many things have given up on me. Not only our people seriously over all this heat, but our plants are saying, “OK I’ve had enough.” Hahaha so I totally get it. Thank you for taking the time to visit me. Your comment made me smile. Let’s hope for a peaceful and relaxing fall season. ❤️👍🥰Liz
Hello Cheryl, thank you for taking the time to comment. Yes your suggestion totally makes sense. I tried to tie the plant however the stems are so sturdy now after they flopped if I try to move them upright, they just snap off. So maybe I will try pruning it next year or tying it up a lot sooner like you suggest. Thanks again for taking the time to visit me. ❤️👍🥰Liz
Hi Liz! Your garden always leaves me in awe 🪴🌺 All of your hard work just radiates with joy. Gorgeous monarch butterfly. I planted milkweed two years ago, I was weeding over the weekend and saw my very first monarch butterfly flying around them 🙌🏾🥹☺️ Have a wonderful weekend! Thank you for sharing with us 😁
Good morning Troy thank you for your kind words and encouragement. It was definitely a rough gardening season this year with all the heat. I felt like I was a slave to my garden watering every day. Now we are finally coming into some cooler weather and I appreciate this well needed break. How exciting that you discovered a monarch butterfly in your garden. What a blessing for you to enjoy. My monarch butterfly was in my garden for about five days and I have not seen it anymore. Perhaps they are just migrating through and they stopped in my garden for food and a drink. I hope your butterfly sticks around for a while so you can enjoy. It’s beauty. 😇🙏❤️Liz
@@GardenHappy They truly are a blessing! The mysteries of this world 😍 I was just thinking the same thing when I was watering this week. Temperatures are going to cool off tomorrow and then I can skip a watering week, which is well deserved 😂
Buenos Dias! Good morning 😄 I just love your garden Liz! It really is such a happy & peaceful place. Gaura has become one of my favorites too! I bought two plants & was looking for a third yesterday lol I hope mine grows big & beautiful like yours🤗 thank you for another video & tour.
Hello there, my friend Julissag yes your Gaura will get big. This was the first year. Mine really blew up and got large and it’s been there for about four years. I guess so give it time once those roots get nicely established your Gaura will get a lot bigger. Hope that helps, and I hope you have a beautiful day in your garden too. Thanks for stopping by.❤️👍🥰Liz
I love all the colors in your garden! So pretty! In about a week our temperature will drop into the 70’s. I’m so looking forward to this. I am excited about pansies, snapdragons and mums. The mountains sound like a great escape from the heat, but don’t forget about our California wildfires. We have had a few here in the mountains in Kern County. Pretty scary for the people in the mountain towns. I love that you always show us a new plant that you are growing. That Angelonia is beautiful! Another one to add to my spring flower list💐
Good morning Ginger you are absolutely right. The fires up in the mountains are crazy. In fact so many homes can’t even get insured. So thank you for reminding me of such a good point. Maybe that’s why all the houses aren’t selling and also selling for very low prices. So I just learned that snapdragons don’t do good in full sun. This whole time I never knew that. I just planted snapdragons thinking they will like this cooler weather and mine are dying again. Did you know they did not like full sun. I learned something new every day. Your comment just reminded me of that. Maybe I will get some more and try again. Thank you for the compliment about the Angelonia. I am still getting familiar with the plant and all of its traits. It sounds like your fall, planting list of flowers are promising. I always enjoy hearing what other gardeners are doing so I appreciate you taking the time to visit me. Hope you have an amazing weekend, Ginger. 👍❤️🥰Liz
Hey Ginger, maybe when they put full sun on the label they’re not thinking about the hot Arizona Sun or the central Valley sun. So maybe for me they don’t like full sun, but I guess everybody’s garden, depending on their area might be different. 👍
Your garden is looking so beautiful and COLORFUL! How special that you were able to catch the butterfly on video 💛 Thank you for the reminder that I can prune vinca! (I need to do that to mine) Suggestion: what if you painted the black pots?… I enjoyed your video so much - thank you for sharing ❤️🌸🌷🌻🌼
Good morning Diane and thank you so much for taking the time to visit me today. I just started pruning my vinca this year as an experiment and I was pleasantly surprised to see the good results. I think cutting off all those seed pods was the key. Being that most flowers die after they make seeds because they think their job is done. Perhaps that is why pruning them prolonged their flower production and made their foliage so lush. I’m I learn something new in the garden every year that’s for sure. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. ❤️👍😇Liz
❤☕goodmorning liz! I love your backyard garden. Full of wonderful colors.i think my favorite spot is the one in front of those tall cannas lilies and white rusted chair.. for the sedum maybe try corralling with steak..and you are when you prune the sedum they become bushy.thats what I did when they started to pop up in the ground this spring and propagated the top I cut.now I have more sedum.😅😅😊
Good morning Faye thank you for your comment about what spot is your favorite. I never would’ve thought the rusty chair garden would be a favorite spot of my viewers. I appreciate your comment so much. That is a very good idea about the sedum. I will definitely be propagating them for sure and growing more in my garden for next year. 👍❤️🥰 Thanks for the tips! Liz
Maybe the black color of the pots is the problem. You could just spray paint them white which I think would be better to the eye. Or you could replace the big pots with smaller ones.
Good morning SilverDawnInTX…. I like your clever ideas. Painting the pot or replacing them smaller ones. You are so right. One of the fun things about having a UA-cam channel is receiving advice from my viewers. I appreciate you taking the time to share yours. Much appreciated! ❤️👍🥰Liz
I'm happy to find your channel!! So many beautiful colours and flowers! It's so inspiring for me.I'm in zone 10b, so no so far from yours.I wonder ... the car tires you turn into planters, how you did that? They are full of soil or with pots?
Welcome my new friend vivez-4157! Thank you for taking the time to visit me. I appreciate your kind words and support. The tires in my garden are filled with soil. No tricks and nothing special. Just tires filled with dirt! Hahahaha Thanks again for stopping by! ❤️👍🥰Liz
Hi Liz. Beautifully stunning garden. I'm sorry I haven't been watching lately UA-cam must have unsubscribed me, then I couldn't remember your channel name ..sorry. ❤ I'm back now though xx

For your sedum, maybe take some twine and wrap it around the flopping part and tie it so it's upright. I hope that makes sense.

I agree plant the plants in ground or move the black containers not just in right area huh😊
Thank you so much Cynthia for your honest opinion. Your comment just confirms what I was thinking. Appreciate you taking the time to visit me. ❤️👍🥰Liz
