Gwen sounds better here than I have ever heard her. It sounds like she is just peacefully singing a song at a perfect tone for her and not having to force the words out at all. They just flow from her mouth. LOVE IT

I was hoping they made a duet out of this song. It could easily be done and they could have dueted it amazingly. Gwen did a beautiful job on the song and surprised me with the country twang in her voice. Didn't expect that. This is one of my top three all time favorite country songs and has been since the Judds released it.
The lyrics are amazing. Gwen’s voice is crystal clear and full of emotion. You’re reminded why she was a successful front woman with no doubt. It’s not necessarily because she has powerhouse vocals, but she knows how to bring out the feelings and the meanings of the lyrics, as well as her great stage presence on stage. And come through Blake with the fabulous harmonies in the background! That stood out to me. I like the way Gwen held out the last note for a long time with a straight tone, and then comes through at the end with a very quick fluttery vibrato.

I have always admired Blake Shelton, No Doubt, & Gwen Stefani specifically. They have both been remarkably significant voices in their individual music genres. I could never have imagined a blended duet of these powerful voices on one album. The fact that this is a tribute and homage to the Judds just adds gravy to the homemade potatoes. Gwen's sultry, powerful yet controlled vocals with an harmonic boost of Blake's soulful country tenor is hauntingly hypnotic with lyrics that either lure you to draw loved ones close, or long for love that has yet to blossom.

As someone who grew up with old school No Doubt ska, all the way thru their ending, followed Gwen and has seen her and Bo Doubt multiple times, I have to say this might be favorite song of hers (in terms of vocals). I know it’s a cover but she sounds phenomenal on it. My older brother got our whole family into ND and Gwen and growing up I was like, “ok 🙄”… but after following her for probably 25+ years, I’d have to say she’s one of my favorite artists. She’s probably one of the most versatile artists in terms of genre. Think about it; rap with Eve (most famously) and many others, synth with Prince (on two songs), Ska, Reggae, new school with Moby, big time pop songs, etc and now she’s here doing country and Christmas songs sounding impeccable 👏🏼 you gotta give her credit where it’s due.

I worked at a country radio station in the 90s. Always absolutely loved this song. Gwen and Blake did a tremendous job in covering this classic. I went in unsure how it would be, but it was PHENOMENAL!
