I miss it man.... That bike was so reliable this one has given me a fair amount of trouble. I'm about to just rebuild the top end on this bike and put all stainless valves in it. I do love the 4-stroke though, it's more the ergonomics of the bike itself than the motor I think but I feel so at home on the Honda. I'm definitely way more comfortable on it than I was on any other bike I've ridden.
my engine was also broken on crf250, i have spent $2000 in parts(piston with rings, head, valves, chain, camshaft, and much other parts.) I like more 2 stroke bikes, you need $500 to repair complete engine, but on 4 stroke you need $3000 and more,
what nick said and it could be like my old pit bike were my cord that goes to my spark plug was fucked... it was faulty or someshit, anyway i got a new one the the problem stopped. but my bike was allwats bogging. hope i helped.
@@RickyOlivett The valves were on their way out. Shimming them fixed it for a little bit but after about 8-10 more hours of ride time they needed replaced.
Yeah, I grew to love the feel of my RM, Im way faster on my buddy's 08 CRF250r. Way easier to ride, has loike $3k in mods, steering stabilizer and all that, motor work, suspension work, $1k dual muffs. My stock 03 RM 250, with OEM top end still stomps it in the corners and in a straight line. DIRTBIKES ARE AWESOME

Mine was doing the same thing. my issue was the valves were shot. you could check them that might be your problem.
