My neighbor Matt and I both recently got dirtbikes. We went out for a little rip and he took me out some of the trails I grew up riding. We're both getting our feet back under us again and getting more used to the bike every ride. Unfortunately my GoPro hit the bars before we got to the best trails. How is the "sponge" level on this bike? I have a '24 250 XC-W and with one tank of gas the muffler goes from perfectly wiped clean, to oil running down the length of the muffler and dripping on to the swing arm. The bike has a little over 6 hours on it (3 tanks of fuel) and seems to run great though and doesn't foul plugs or anything. Just wondering if this is normal on these TBI bikes. I haven't owned a 2 stroke since the mid 80s so rather out of the loop.

      Just bought a ‘24 husky TE250 TBI. Mine does the about the same. Make sure your idle screw is adjusted good after a few hours of riding. I had to adjust mine a tad to go up in idle. Don’t be afraid to rip the throttle. They’re fine to lug around, but I think spooge happens more when they’re not opened up and ripped on a bit.

      The irony is I think it’s the best woods choice from KTM. Plenty of torque but rips and isn’t as lazy as the 300. You hit the midrange and it just rips. I like the 250xcw or the 350 xcf.

      Yeah that’s a good thought. I didn’t expect it to bounce near as much as it did. Might be a quick way to trim the trails back if that comes on while I’m riding 🤣 I think im gonna have to print it with a stronger filament or bite the bullet and buy one of the metal ones. @@arranpowell1848 I plan on doing a review vid when I get some more hours on it. I have a first impressions ride video if that helps. My brother-in-law has a 300. He runs A-Class and prefers the extra low end torque of his 300. I like being able to lug the 250 down and have it be a little calmer in tough terrain. I think they have similar power, it just comes on in different ways. The 250 hits a bit higher in the revs, the 300 likes to be lugged. Either way I think you’ll love it!

    Did exactly the same with my delkevic single tube exhaust for the Kawasaki ZRX 1100. After removing the original and replacing with a no kat full system, the bike lost punch in lower range (even after stage-3 and tuning the carburators). The diy baffle, filled additionally with metal wool inside introduced exactly the amount of back-pressure, road bikes need. Yes, the 600RR is a ROAD BIKE, like any other commercially available meeting ecological standards.

    question. were you able to move the monitors up or down? reason i ask is im thinking of buying the asr 4 but dont know if the chassis sits to low. or is that why you bought the adjustable legs

    • @elemento1991

      @@thomasmeeks55 My monitor stand is also on extruded aluminum so I can adjust the height of the bar and the width of the legs. The ASR4 also has around 4-5 inches of adjustment on its feet since they are made with all thread. It does sit pretty low so I ended up adjusting it all the way up on the bases feet and placing my monitors where they needed to be from there.

    • @elemento1991
      @elemento1991 8 місяців тому

      They’re 27’s. If you can swing 32’s I would because it is tight getting in and out of the rig. I pulled the trigger on the 27s because dell had 1440ps on sale for $200 a piece and it was too good of a deal to pass up. I could always back them up to make a little more space but I like having 180 FOV so I deal with the tight squeeze.

      @elemento1991 8 місяців тому

      Thanks man, its the Sim Labs triple monitor stand. I went with them because I liked the product a lot and it was in stock at the closest microcenter. The PC stand is actually a shelf from Trak Racer. I have a bit of everything because everyones stock seemed to be hurting when I was piecing it together. One huge perk I've had with the ASR that I didn't expect was that catching slides and avoiding spins is so much easier now with the super stiff chassis. My old cockpits wheel mount point had a lot of up and down movement during high FFB movements and it really messed with my driving more than I thought. Hopefully you see some of the same perks!

    Noob question but does the 1" diameter cause any engine issues? It's a rather tiny opening.. I know it'll increase back pressure substantially and that worries me.

    • @elemento1991
      @elemento1991 2 роки тому

      I had thought about that too originally because of the size of the outlets but the pipe coming from the headers is only 2.18” so you’re really only adding backpressure with % of the area the mid pipe is over. The math breaks down to only an 8% smaller area with the baffles in and with how free flowing these pipes are I’m sure it’s still substantially less back pressure than the factory system.
