Yeah I’ve never tried the Crf450r, I had 2 kawasaki kx45f’s and they were fun but just a bit heavy for the hard stuff. Easier to ride though as you don’t have to rev it so much. Try it. I think it would suit your riding

Hello i have exactly the same bike as you,but i have really hard starting problems and now its not running. Valve clearance is made a week ago but it doesnt start. Can you give me any tips? :D
Really depends how much and how hard you ride it. Oil change is the main expense. Change oil every 12-15 hours if you aren't racing. Everything else is just lubing everything up and making sure nothing falls off haha. Not expensive at all buddy. Go for it
MidWest MX thanks for the response bud, I don’t think I’d intend to race as a lad was saying every 4-5 rides needs to change chain and sprocket etc. There’s a few places to go up in the North East so I’ll look into in the next few months.
You don’t need to change the chain and sprocket every 5 rides buddy. They will last you a very long time. Oil you change every 4-5 rides. Honestly if you’re just cruising round like me it’s cheap as chips

Thanks for that excellent video snippet. I had been thinking about buying a bike. I had a bit of a play around when young but nothing much and nothing for 35 years. I have some land - Now live in France, and good trails where I live. I want to get a bike to do that sort of thing and get experience in the saddle/operation before trying to get my licence. I like the look of the Honda range and frankly being a bit older and not needing the cutting edge I think that 2019 CRF250R would do me.
You will be so happy with it. Nice and easy to ride. I'm sure the 2019 will be more powerful but knowing Honda they will still make it a breeze to ride. Glad you're back in the game buddy! Thrill seekers
Good damm UA-cam just makes me want to go and buy things. I think for the money and in the real world you get a lot with that machine. Well it's in to the Honda showroom when I get back from this job. It has shades of a Christmas present to myself written all over it - last year new car, this year a bike. Cheers and keep having fun...
It depends really. I got the crf250r because I do all types of riding. Trails, enduro and motocross track. If you're doing a lot of enduro then maybe go for the enduro version but if you're going to all sorts the crf250r is a great all round bike. You could always get the ktm exc-f which is for trails & Track. I just love the Honda. Its personal preference. If you've seen any of my videos you will see what kind of riding i do and if you do the same then it's all good
Im only going to ride enduro and trails, so my question is, is it still fine to ride a mx bike in the woods or should I get an enduro bike instead for a little more money.
The 2018 and newer crf250r have a redesigned/totally new engine with a DOHC engine and it makes a full 2hp more than the second most powerful japanese 250 4 stroke and less than 1hp less than husqvarna and Ktm 250s whilst being a honda a byword for reliability.
My seals went out on my 2016 crf250r after a few months and I got my bike brand new but mine isnt sagging or anything but I definitely need to get my shocks done.

The new Honda CRF 250's have dual cams also so you will definealty notice a kick up the backside 😂 i've got a 2016 CRF 250 R and it pulls like a train! great vid
I just wonder if you know what the winning sound comes from that is in the bakground off the engine sound. I got a crf 250 to and dont know if its from the clutch or what. Sorry for bad english.
Alright mate, I have a 2005 CRF250 and I’m having a little starting issues, it starts 1or 2 kicks cold but when it’s hot it’s a pain in the ass!! You mentioned you tried a fuel additive to clean your valves and it fixed your problem, can you remember what you used? I know it is probably my shimms but it starts no probs cold and want to try the easy option before opening the top end!! Cheers
Yeah you’re in the same boat as me buddy. I can’t remember the name but it was a valve and carb cleaner. I will try find out the make of it for you. It was a fuel additive and one I ran it through the bike has been 1 kick start ever since. Definitely try that. I will get back to you
FlyinOnPiff yeah sorry man totally slipped my mind. Putoline fuel inject and valve cleaner. You can buy it on eBay for £11.50. It’s a fuel additive. Cleans your tank, valves, carbs etc. Will make your bike a bit more responsive too. Good stuff 👍
Bought a crf 250 2010 few months back and noticed it’s leaking from forks sitting in my van . I have lifted the back suspension. What’s your thoughts on this
There is a 2005 Crf250r for sale by me , it has new , crank , piston, rings, seals , and o-rings all the way around he wants $2,350 for it , is this a good price?
Brandon Rogers thx man , I picked it up today I got it for $2,000!!! And it came with a stand and it has a set of rims that are 500 new , also very clean bike
Hey man what is the difference between the CRF 250 and the CRF250R? Does the 250R typically have more maintenance and problems? Deciding for a trail bike.
The crf 250 is built for trails. Gear ratio is longer and not as rapid. You might get bored of it pretty quick. The crf250R is built for motocross but it’s an all round bike if you want to have fun. I do trails, Enduro and even some really hard Enduro on it. The crf 250 is a full on Enduro bike so it will be easier to ride. If you’re just doing Enduro it’s probably the better choice. But no problems with either. Both built like tanks. Hope that helps
Hi there really enjoyed your vlog mint bike I’m thinking about changing to a Honda 2016 crf 250 r special addition got a Ktm 250 excf what do you think cheers
Both completely different bikes. The crf250r is an all round bike for sure but if you're mainly doing enduro I would get an enduro bike. I've now got a ktm 250 exc tpi and it's changed my life
Your video pushes me Into getting my first bike, I'm from the north west and would love to get on trails such as this. Do you find places acceptable of mx bikes or just go into the sticks looking for these places? Tia
I was gonna get a crf 250R but was able to get a deal on a yz 250f so I went with that instead, works great, but it sounds like the crf 250R is probably the best bike. Have you ever owned a YZ 250f ? Keep up the Great Work!
Yeah I had one last year. Loved it. Great bike. I just prefer the ride and the reliability of the Honda. Whatever bike you feel better on I’d say. As soon as I jumped on the Honda I fell in love
Hi mate, could you link me the valve cleaner you dropped in the fuel? I also have a CRF250 and having the same issue as yourself with it starting. Just want to try this method to see if it works. Thanks👍🏽

Hi. I also have a honda crf250r 2013 model. I came across your page recently and want to ask you something. I like enduro riding (probably not the right bike for it but I did not know any better when I bought it). How do you manage your clutch control on the bike with the enduro environment? Did you make any changes to the setup to accomodate it?
No buddy. Just practice. Get out there and you will soon learn clutch control. The crf250r is a great all round bike for all types of riding. That's all i do is when I'm enduro riding i put the suspension to soft and on the track I put it more to the harder side
@@MidWestMX Awsome man. I will keep on practicing. And I agree the crf250r is a great bike. I bought mine new and it has been the only bike since. But only recently I am in a position to ride more so that is what I will do. Thanks. I am enjoying your videos!! Keep it up!
Hi there just got one last (also a 2015) week thinking of reselling it or keeping it, what would recommend checking over just to make sure its top notch, it starts second kick so i think its fine. Many thanks
The main thing on the honda are the valve clearances. But if it's starting ok then there shouldnt be a problem. Take it for a spin and make sure all the gears are fine. Other than that it's all good bro
@@MidWestMX Thanks for the feedback! i just purchased my first quad. Been on my list of things i wanted for a while. I might buy a 250 soon since I think I might get bored of a quad sooner than later.

I just wonder if you know what the winning sound comes from that is in the bakground off the engine sound. I got a crf 250 to and dont know if its from the clutch or what. Sorry for bad english.
I have no idea. I wouldn't worry too much about it if the bike is running fine. If you are worried then take it to a shop for them to look at.
I will get back to you
Perfect!! cheers
MidWest MX any update on the name of that cleaner?
FlyinOnPiff yeah sorry man totally slipped my mind. Putoline fuel inject and valve cleaner. You can buy it on eBay for £11.50. It’s a fuel additive. Cleans your tank, valves, carbs etc. Will make your bike a bit more responsive too. Good stuff 👍
Im 16 but feel very comfortable on dirtbikes and i think myself im a good pilot im 5,11 should i get a 250 r a crf 450 your opinion?
Bought a crf 250 2010 few months back and noticed it’s leaking from forks sitting in my van . I have lifted the back suspension. What’s your thoughts on this
Just maintenance. The seals on the forks go now and then, just need to get them replaced and serviced
There is a 2005 Crf250r for sale by me , it has new , crank , piston, rings, seals , and o-rings all the way around he wants $2,350 for it , is this a good price?
farmingwithmark price is bout right. Not too high but not too low either. Definitely try to bring the price down anyway. 👍
Brandon Rogers thank for the response , I talked him down to 2,100
farmingwithmark nice work brother👍
Brandon Rogers thx man , I picked it up today I got it for $2,000!!! And it came with a stand and it has a set of rims that are 500 new , also very clean bike
Brandon Rogers add me on snap chat and I will send you pics of the bike , @markkk_mm
thinking of buying one
I’m gonna go to a Honda crf250r coming of a 150f but want a bike with lots of power just wondering if the Honda has a lot of power?
The Honda has plants of power my friend! Go for it. If you’re already on a Honda it makes sense
Hahahahaha thanks mate
Hey nice vid would this bike be good for a first bike im like 5’5
Ryan _646 yea it would a pretty good starter bike but I’m 5,11 and don’t know how it would fit you. Might be better to get a125
Colton Wilson i think a 125 is like 37.5 some inches while the 150 is like 34 but they are both in my radar as my first bikes and thank you
Ryan _646 No problem. Are you gonna be racing it
Colton Wilson um maybe a bit i think it depends on how i am liking riding or so but if im not racing im gonna be riding on trails and my backyard
Where is this trial
+MidWest MX sweet thanks man. Appreciate the reply.
@@MidWestMX would you recommend the bike to beginner? Also can it be ridden on the street then to the trails
I've now got a ktm 250 exc tpi and it's changed my life
What should I get Honda crf 250 OR KTM exc 250-f
It depends what riding you do? Enduro? Motocross? Or both?
Do you prefer the CFR 250 or the CFR 450? Thinking about getting a CRF but not sure which one to get.
The 450 is easier to ride but it's a lot heavier. Depends what type of riding you do. Whatever makes you happy
Thanks for the reply. Keep up the awesome content. Great to watch.
Your video pushes me Into getting my first bike, I'm from the north west and would love to get on trails such as this. Do you find places acceptable of mx bikes or just go into the sticks looking for these places? Tia
You could do both
I’m 16 and I’m 6’0, I have a lot of experience driving with ATV’s and other things like that, is this a good first bike?
Yea same i just sold my ltr 450 and im thinking getting a crf 250 because a crf 450 in my opinion is too much. Im also 6’0 and 17:)
What is faster honda crf450r or a yamaha yz450?
305._Aj probably the yz but the honda is better in other ways
Debating on a Honda crf r or a Yamaha yzf250 ! Cannot decide
Either one is good buddy
Love the videos buddy ! Think I'm swaying towards the Honda after seeing you have so much fun on yours !
How is the r on trails? I’m thinking about moving up to the 250r
What is your opinion about the crf250 of 2006?
Is that what bike you have
I was gonna get a crf 250R but was able to get a deal on a yz 250f so I went with that instead, works great, but it sounds like the crf 250R is probably the best bike.
I miss my 2006 crf250r
Hi mate, could you link me the valve cleaner you dropped in the fuel? I also have a CRF250 and having the same issue as yourself with it starting. Just want to try this method to see if it works.
Thanks👍🏽
Ryan R www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorbike-Fuel-System-Injector-Cleaner-Additive-JMC-200-ml/292212984796?hash=item4409404bdc:g:XAAAAOSwwVRZjzvt this is the one I used. Follow instructions and add it to the fuel. Let it run through for a ride or so and then she’s good as gold 👍
Much appreciated thank you! Keep up the great work love your videos
Ryan R thanks man, and I hope it helps 👍
@@MidWestMX hi! Good day! Just asking if i can use it in 2005 model? Carburator type? Or for fuel injected model only of crf?
And if you don’t want the problem with air forks get a 2014 with spring forks 🤙🏻👍🏻 if the 2018 upwards isn’t in your price range
I just bought a mint 2015 that has spring forks. All race tech + rear suspension, it rides really good
@@JonahZX10 ye spring forks are better in my opinion
All I have to do now is just get my off road plate/sticker and then im taking the new bike out with some friends and going to have a nice day of fun:)
Like Your Video's btw, I like to get home and just sit down and watch some of your adventures you have.
Thank you so much appreciate it
Unbelievable place !!
Nice bro !!
like 11
Thanks man
Thinking of chopping my crf 450 in on a 250 as the 450s killing me round the track .. hard work 🤣
Did you find the 250 more manageable?
Where was this filmed?
Mid Wales buddy
Did you change headers or just the pipes
Both. Got the full system
Does it make a difference. What kind of air filter you have
You dont seem like a novice rider. Would you recommend a crf250 for a beginner rider?
For sure. So easy to get use to 👍
@@MidWestMX Thanks for the feedback! i just purchased my first quad. Been on my list of things i wanted for a while. I might buy a 250 soon since I think I might get bored of a quad sooner than later.
Chris G I had a quad for years. They’re fun. Ideal world I would have both. But go for a Honda. You won’t be disappointed 🤟
Love your videos! I own a CRF 250r 2013, what is the product brand you mentioned you put in your tank to clean your valves ?
Thanks a lot and keep it up!👍🏻
the difference between crf and
crf r ???
What year is that bike
2015
great bike bro. i have the same one
