What if Order 66 FAILED: The Jedi's Last Stand

- Of Palpatine’s plans, Order 66 was the most brilliant and destructive. This special command was built into the clones' inhibitor chips and compelled them to execute their Jedi commanders when activated. This allowed Palpatine to eliminate thousands of Jedi across the galaxy in a single move.
But while a clever strategy, it was nearly exposed by one accident where an inhibitor chip malfunctioned. So what if this incident revealed everything?
Welcome to Darth Theorist, where we explore the depths of the Force, analyze characters, and speculate on what could have been. Whether you're a Jedi Knight, a Sith Lord, or a curious traveler, prepare to ignite your imagination as we begin this journey.
Clone Captain Rex and the 501st watch as a coffin is launched into space. Inside is the body of Arc Trooper Fives. Although technically a traitor to the Republic, no one there truly believes that. But while most think that Fives had simply snapped from battlefield stress, Rex believes there’s more to it.
He heard Fives talk about inhibitor chips planted in clones. It seemed crazy at first, but reports from Shaak-Ti and Kix gave him second thoughts.
Rex wants to look more into this; the war prevented any further investigation from taking place. Even Anakin is too busy planning their next battle to look into this. There is one person who can help.
Rex: Ahsoka. I know you don’t want to be involved with the Jedi anymore, but I’ve just learned something that could affect every single clone in the galaxy and might lead to something deeper. I’m not in a position to do anything about it, but there is no one I trust more with this information than you.
Ahsoka Tano was no longer aligned with the Jedi Order and was thus free to do any investigations without supervision. While reluctant to accept this task, she hears the desperation in Rex’s voice when he mentions Fives and sends him a quick message.
The first step is to get information on Kamino. Their data banks are most likely the places for data about clones and their creation to be kept.
Ahsoka is no longer a Jedi and doesn’t have clearance to be there. Instead, she lands her ship on a small landing pad and sneaks inside. Using the Force to guide her, Ahsoka slips through the labyrinthine corridors, careful to avoid the watchful eyes of the Kaminoan scientists.
As Ahsoka explores the research facility in Tipoca City, she finds the data banks deep within it. Unfortunately, many of the files are encrypted and require special clearance to access.
A sudden sound breaks the silence- soft footfalls echoing through the halls. Ahsoka whirls around to find a Kaminoan scientist, his eyes wide with surprise.
Scientist: Wait, you’re not supposed to be-
Ahsoka reaches out with the Force, feeling it probe into the researcher's mind to sway his actions.
Scientist: Of course, ma'am.
As Ahsoka examines the data before her, she can hardly believe what she sees. She reads not just one, but dozens of secret orders implanted into the minds of the clone troopers. Among them was Order 66, the directive to exterminate the Jedi Order if deemed necessary by the chancellor.
With the data secured, Ahsoka slips through the shadows and makes her escape. She transmits the information to Captain Rex, who files a report to Shaak Ti, the Jedi liaison on Kamino. He is then summoned to Kamino to confront Prime Minister Lama Su alongside the Jedi.
Lama Su: And where exactly did you get this information?
Rex: A trusted source.
Lama Su: This information is highly classified. This represents a major data breach if someone was able to access it.
Rex: We came across this information during a routine inspection, Prime Minister. However, the real issue is the contents of this data.
Shaak Ti: Prime Minister, a Jedi lost their life due to a chip malfunction. We cannot allow such negligence to go unchecked.
Lama Su: I assure you, there must be some mistake. Our cloning technology is flawless.
Shaak Ti: I suggest you allow us access to the data banks so we can learn the truth. Otherwise, we will have no choice but to take this matter to the Senate and the Jedi Council.
Lama Si concedes to their demands, knowing that if this information got out, it would jeopardize their lucrative cloning contracts with the Republic.
Lama Su: Very well. We shall look into the matter. But I assure you, there is no cause for concern.
Rex: While your researchers are at it, Prime Minister. Perhaps they should consider deactivating the inhibitor chips, for the time being.
Lama Su: That is a…prudent suggestion, captain. I will relay it to my research team.
After the meeting, Captain Rex contacts a handful of clone commanders. These consist of officers like Cody, Wolffe, Gree, Bly, Doom, and a few others. They represent the most experienced and trustworthy leaders of the clone army. Once they are assembled, Rex explains the nature of the inhibitor chips.
Doom adds that he had seen the effects of these chips first - Розваги
how do you only have 14 subscribers??
Just starting out haha all in due time :D
@@DarthTheorist your videos are incredible! Best “what if” UA-camr on here already!
In future videos I think it would be nice to have voiceovers for female characters btw😁
@@Twist_S Thank you for the kind words, really appreciate it 🥺 haha definitely in the cards for the future, 100% agree!
Probably because his first video was 2 weeks ago
@@RayAkuma yeah you're well smart you are mate
Palpatine: "Execute Order 66."
Cody: "The fuck is that?" hangs up
"Aw for fuck's sake"
"And where did you get this information?"
"None of ya beeswax. Now shutup and handle this."
No matter how many "what if" theory channels I watch, everyone come to the same ending for Ki-Adi-Mundi XD
I like how galactic marines still fire at mundi
commander barraca was kind of a hardass.
lmaoooo
I've listened to quite a few of these "What If" scenarios where Order 66 doesn't go quite as planned for one reason or another, and in every single one, Ki-Adi Mundi *still* gets shot without fail. 💀
lol it’s what the Hippocratic Jedi master deserves
Facts lol I was boutta comment this. Made me happy
New "what if" channel?
We will watch your career with great interest.
Dat Palpatine and Maul voice was spot on!
Amazing work! The voices really add to the story.
I laughed at the fact that Ki Adi Mundi still gets shot. It seems he can never catch a break in these stories.
From what I read, his men couldn't stand him. Inhibitor chip or not, they would jump at the order to kill him.
DUDE!
Taht was a truly action packed 'What If'. It had a awesome investigation side and Anakin confessing to the Jedi and most of The Jedi Council and their clones siding together abd how Anakin killed Palpatine and Anakin, Padme, and Ahsoka going to Tatooine.
Glad you enjoyed it :D
This is _really_ good! I lve the voice acting (and your voice in general, it's lovely)
I will be watchimg your career with great interest!
hahaha love the pun, appreciate the kind words!
This is quality. Unlike I've ever seen, please continue 🙏
Appreciate the kind words, will keep up the consistency !!
your voicing ability is insane. Glad this was recommended
The editing and voiceover is top notch, we have the next big star wars UA-cam here people.
"I will watch your career with great interest".
thank you!!
Quality is 1000% better.
Thanks!!
Great narration! :O its like im listening to an audio book!
One thing I always thought abt
F is the 6th letter in the alphabet
So order 66/ order FF
FF= Friendly Fire
Also you should’ve mentioned what maul said after being captured
“You’re all going to burn we’re going to die! You don’t know what your doing”
Probably a coincidence, though a satisfying one
I find it more likely that its a reference to the number of the beast 666.
I'm not sure if Maul would have the patience to let Ahsoka go in first against Sidious. Otherwise, great story.
Given how his last fight with him went, he might want to let someone soften him up first;
Your voice is insanely beautiful and perfect for this typ of video
Wow love the vid man. definitely the best starwars content Ive found in a long time. Your writing is so engaging and feels very grounded in the canon. Plus your voiceovers are so engaging and doesnt make me cringe like some other creators impressions do.
Wow, such kind words, really appreciate the compliments! Will definitely keep it consistent for you
You have a very similar cool voice that the person who does Wartime Stories and Tales From The Smoke Pit, both amazing channels, the guy who runs that channel is top notch.
Not affiliated but thanks for the great comparison!!
What if Rahm Kota trained anakin since Rahm Kota was 18 when he joined the jedi order
These stories are great. Subbed.
Thanks, glad you like them!
Video idea: What if the Clone Wars reached earth during WW2?
Considering how many jedi seem to have survived in both canon and legends I'd argue that it did fail or at least feels like it failed. If you plan to wipe out the jedi and over 50 of them survived I think that can count as a failure, one or two yeah that's still a win but enough for a small attacking force that could overwhelm you, that's literally fail8ngbthe primary objective of order 66.
having been a US army soldier, I will input my .02.
a soldier has a bond with his superior (if said superior bleeds with him, gest injured with the soldier, eats with the soldier, sleeps (not sex but bunk for rest) with the soldier, etc...
this bond creates a certain "trust between the two".
the jedi were completely void of any military tactics.
they lacked any such training.
but, they did treat the clones (most of the jedi) as actual human beings (not just tools of war). the jedi encouraged (most jedi) individual personalities.
the jedi cared (most of them) for the clones (soldiers know when a commander does this well).
let us say that order 66 was activated:
they receive the signal.
some clones will follow the order.
some will not.
I will focus upon the ones who do not follow the order;
Why would I (or a group of clones0 want to kill a commander who has treated us like actual human beings instead of tools of war to be discarded. they lived with us. they bled with us. they ate with us. the led us. they wear our armor . yes, they lack any military tactics. but, they have earned our trust and respect (in the heat of battle and on many occasions came to our defense and saved our butts. What has the chancellor done? sit in his high place and order us to kill these same persons? Why would we attack them (upon a transmission from the chancellor [who has not done any of this]? thus, we will not do that.
Now, you have a civil war (internal [clone v clone - very much like the roman civil wars]). legion against legion (to put their general as Caesar).
I'm Subscribing, it's the voice and story writing for me. Great job sir. I just have to know where the voice is from!!!
First Video I've seen from you but I'm blown away. The quality is great! the Audio is very clear and you voice is very nice to listen to (hope that doesn't sound wierd). The Voice acting is also very nice here and well built in. Besids the Audio the story you have writen is also very nice to follow and easy to understand. I guess here comes some competition for Pente and Star Wars Galaxy!
Excellent, very well presented
Thank you !!
Ya this was definitely a copy from The Star Wars Galaxy video he made but with you did do changes too to it but the concept is the same
Everyone does a lot of similar concepts with our own spins to it :)
Glad anakin saw the light before it was too late
I wish the Fives thing never happened in TCW. I'm sorry but this is a plot point that just doesn't work for me. The Jedi actually learn Dooku was behind the army and there's a chip in the brains of the clones that affects their behavior and they don't make this a #1 priority? I just can't accept that. NONE of the council could see how insanely dangerous this could be?! It just doesn't work. It doesn't fit with their characters.
But there's no way all those clones would have willingly turned on Jedi who they'd fought side by side with for the entire war, no matter how much they were bred for obedience. Some would have followed Order 66, but a large percentage would have disobeyed. Without the chips, it would have played out just like it did in this story.
@@rhunter42dragon No my point was that the council finding out about the chips, but doing nothing about it, like the did in canon, is absurd. The writers should have left that arc on the cutting room floor. It makes no sense that NONE of the Jedi who hear about the chips think "hmm, this seems like potentially a massive problem that we need to investigate thoroughly as priority #1 for at least a half dozen of out several thousand strong Jedi Order!
Oh, if only. Great video.
Nice thread to follow and a great story that was fleshed out nicely. The Former Jedi/Sith Apprentices alliance was an unexpected plot-twist that was truly inspired. (And the ONLY complaint about this story is not seeing Maul being able to Spit on Sid’s dead body.)
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to look thru your other stuff. Already subscribed, but still wanna look about.
Appreciate that :) we'll have more to come very soon as well!!
Earned a sub. As a man who works in radio. I love your voice
Great video🫡
You lost me at Ashoka being able to hold off palpatine lmao
This was an amazing story on par and in terms of voice acting, exceeding the quality of other what if channels. But one thing a few of them do thats missing here is a section at the end going over the details and thought processes that went into making the story. Dont get me wrong, the absence of this doesnt detract from the experience, but it's presence would be an amazing bonus
Appreciate the feedback! Will definitely look into this
Great Video Man I subscribed keep the good work I hope you achieve all your goals. My idea is What if Luminara survived and trained Ezra Bridger during that arc and rebels
Wow!! you went from 14 subscribers to over 2.16k in 12 dayssssss!! whattt thee heckkkk
I know it's been crazy! haha really grateful and appreciative of the outpouring of support from everyone
What if orders 65 and 66 were switched
wowzers
just tell me this
with which tool you clone all these guys voices specially darth maul?
i hate order 66 so i want more of theses and the clones joining the rebels
i just love clone troopers and i cried when they shoot down the jedi. they trusted the clones
If the Jedi council under Yoda’s leadership wasn’t so complacent , actually toke certain matters seriously & was more on the ball actions wise when it was needed then the whole Order 66 stuff could have been avoided big time.
Since I’m a fully fledged Sith Lord anyway I was happy when the Jedi got hit hard on operation Knight-fall so erm yeahhhh 😆✅…
Hello there
I'm pretty sure that was adi galia being shot down on the speeder not Stass allie. Idk who that is.
that U ARE CLONE made to follow orders line or whatever HIT HARD
Kinda curious why Anakin would be kicked out, literally the worst thing he did was cut Windu's hand
Well because he joined the Sith yes he didnt complete the betrayal by Attacking the temple but he still betrayed them.
Take it like Your married and You find your partner making out really going at it with another person about to go further but your partner stops it
Would You consider that cheating and breakup or no
@x-track5190 that's uh, that's not anywhere near the same thing 😅. This is a brother in arms having been manipulated for over a decade to fall to evil, and while he briefly does, he never does anything unforgivable, even turning back and righting his wrong, and the Jedi should acknowledge that and forgive him (they're big on that).
@@ShadowWolf0020
You are correct i just usted a real world example
@x-track5190 I mean, if we were to go with your example, it'd be like the other woman over time urged him to try drugs. Ones that don't do much, relatively harmless, but doing that over a long period of time, and then finally pushes you over the edge with an incredibly strong and addictive drug that lowered inhibitions that led to the make out session.
Which led to Windu being killed and allowed Palpatine to escape, however briefly. Besides, Anakin was already in violation of the Jedi code for his marriage to Padme. He was getting kicked out anyway.
This thumbnail is stolen from a video made by the Star Wars galaxy
Repurposed and remodeled :) changed a couple things, but they say imitation is the highest form of flattery. Star Wars Galaxy is an amazing channel!
Mission Failed, better luck next time
Did you just take someone else’s stories on another page that I listen to and just do a voiceover?
Who
huh?
Imagine Palpatine , the Jedi and their beliefs in CHOSEN ONE "balance"
Meanwhile, events from legends over another 100 years 🤡💀
This thumbnail looks remarkably similar to The Star Wars Galaxy's thumbnail for "What if the Jedi deleted Order 66"...
You sure you didn't steal it?
what if anaika was born female
Nothing would really be different, aside from the love story with Padme. WLW supremacy and no Luke and Leia. So Yoda would have to find someone else to train. And we can also assume female Anakin would see Padme as capable too, since there would most likely be no underlying sexism in Skywalker. Fem! Anakin would definitely see her as strong, too, which she definitely was. That would strengthen the trust between them and Padme would have an easier time helping 'her', since we can assume Anakin would’ve told Padme more about the dreams and worries they brought, even if there were no children on the way.
However, if fem! Anakin was straight, Palps would have had a harder time manipulating "her", since there would presumably be no affair. Shmi would already be dead and there would be no real chokehold or plan B to manipulate Anakin. He could try to play the father figure but ultimately, Anakin would choose the Order because the bond, despite the mistrust would be stronger with the Jedi.
Remember, to Anakin things were getting better at that time in canon too.
Fem! Skywalker would look forward to see Ahsoka again and maybe try to convince her to join the Jedi, especially since they finally found out the truth and figured why Palpatine played such a big role in Jedi affairs, which includes Ahsokas unfair trial.
So with Anakin helping Windu, Palpatine is dead and with no proper Leadership, the Seperatists would either surrender or elect a new one.
Perhaps Maul could be lucky and escape the confinement, being the new Seperatist leader.
Third option is a situation similar to the stark hyperspace war, just on a slightly bigger scale. But whatever the case the Republic would win the war in one way or another.
