Well worth the 30$ for the stapler electric or pneumatic. I do the same on the rads. You can send them in and have them gusseted or if you have a tig and some flat stock you can do it yourself. Rad braces are another good idea if you want added protection. My youngest just started riding, got him a 24 KX250. Straightened the front end 3-4 times and the rads are coming off today to straighten them out 🤦♂️. The joys of being a dad with kids that want to ride. Bike looks good can’t wait to see the finished project. 👍
This takes me back, my 1992 CR125 rads leaked all the time and got crushed in from me squeezing with me knees so much. Such a pain in the butt. I used to use a squeeze bottle with air filter oil in it to do my filters, seemed to help spread it around the filter better and I remember using white lithium grease on the edge of the filter to keep the dirt out of the air boot, it was such a mess to clean up all the time. Keep up the amazing videos and I'm excited to see the finished product.
Thanks for the comment, a lot of people use a type of grease to help seal the filter to the breather box.. I have never really noticed an issue personally if you have enough filter oil on that part of the filter, along with the inner cage the presses against the breather.. but lots of people did that trick.. and still do. Hopefully you will like the finished product
Great job on the radiator’s and showing your technique on straightening them. Do you know a place that can re-core dirt bike radiators? Keep the project 93 Cr250 videos coming 🔥⚙️🔥⚙️🔥⚙️🔥
I have dealt with local shops that re-core automotive rads.. and they say they can do it.. I have not personally ever done any for a dirt bike.. but bikes are becoming more and more harder to find quality parts for
I like them too, but honesty I had a really hard time with there rads, it was for 1996 RMX250 so kinda an odd bike.. but still came with 2 extra hose ports…. Still sitting in a box in my shop.. could just be that it was an odd bike.
When you say stuck…. Have you used a product like PB blaster to penitents into the splines.. hopefully it will eat its way in and free it up.. if you use heat it will most likely damage the seal on the kickstart shaft.. easy to replace that seal tho.. and it’s probably already needing replaced.. I would try a penetrating oil first then light taps with a hammer to see if it frees up first. I hope that makes sense..,
What’s going on people? Hope you are all well. Shoutout from the uk 🇬🇧
Thanks for the comment and for watching

It's going to look great with the classic white/red combination. 👍
Thanks, I hope it looks as good as I hope it will…. At least better then it did when project 93 showed up here ;)

Hey any tips for removing a stuck kickstarter should I use heat?
