is it a no no to pull the seals off of the wheel bearings and pack them with good grease? ive done it every time i install new and when i install new tires but i havent seen anyone else do it.
The seal you are talking about is the factory seal making the bearing sealed verses open and exposed? The factory places that seal on the bearing to seal the insides from any kind of outside exposure.. dirt, water, etc.. I guess if you can get it off without damaging it.. and re-pack the bearing, then install it again without and nicks.. ya you could pack grease into it.. my concern obviously would be damaging the seal.. and then the bearing will break down really fast.. wheel bearing kits are really affordable. Around $20.00. For me I would simply replace with brand new bearing and save the work and the risk.. but if you are able to do it and have a way that works I say keep doing it. Thanks a lot for the question and for watching our content. :)
@@Dirtbikerepair I meant pulling the factory seal out and putting more grease in it then putting the seal back. It’s like linkage bearings there is a little grease but never seams like enough.
Not exactly sure what you mean, the brake works on a slide that is “sort of self adjusting”. But I will look into what you mean. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks a lot for the comment tho and for watching

You need the brake system working to center the wheel properly before securing the wheel assy.
