I can't stand those "everything wrong with..." videos. They're all just word-salad, hot-takes delivered with a condescending tone. Aside from burying valid criticisms, they demonstrate the disconnect between someone who just consumes media and someone who creates. Every artistic project, especially RDR, has a brief and goal. Every decision, when made correctly, serves that goal and fulfills that brief, plain and simple. For instance, If you don't like it that the blackwater heist never gets expanded on, thats because only 10% of those details are relative to the player experience as well as the story they are trying to tell. They's an economy within storytelling, and only the important details need to be elevated to the player's attention at the end of the day.

I don't know much about Dartigan but most content creators that does EWW videos are joking and should never be taken serious

I thought it was 100 or 10K? I don’t speak or understand Spanish maybe that’s why, also what has Arthur been doing? Dutch and Javier both have 1K while Arthur has 5K, why, how? Why don’t the Pinkertons go after Arthur if he has the bigger bounty.
@@Gingersnap_Adventuresif you go after dutch the gang is basically done once he's captured. He's the only leader besides Matthews and dutch is the boss while Arthur is just the enforcer

@@Gingersnap_Adventures to my knowledge that $1000 wanted poster for dutch was long-since outdated, and by the time of the events of the game his bounty was likely much much more.
Additionally it is possible that the Pinkertons just made up a number for arthur to scare him, in my opinion if the bounty on his head alone was truly that high then it would have made much more sense for them to take him in right there.
also, Javier is wanted for a 1000 bucks in Mexico already, he'd be endangering his family, alongside bringing unwanted attention to the gang assuming literally anyone who looks at bounty posters to watch out for criminals saw him

If you read his Damm description on the promo art it says that he's wanted basically dead and his family is basically at gunpoint he escaped to America because he would have had his family killed he had no choice
and in the first newspaper you can buy there is an article that says that both the dictator of mexico and the president of the usa sent troops to the border so the gang would have had to pass through two armies to get there
12:40 adding on to your statement, if you check the Saint Denis newspaper, (I forgot when) you can see that it says something about the gang being associates of the Braithwaites. I’m sure that the Grays weren’t that stupid and figured out that they were being played.

I always saw it like it was in Breaking Bad how in season 2 or 3 Walt scolds Jesse for complaining when he’s a millionaire but when Jesse and Mike wanna retire on 5 million dollars in season 5 Walter says that 5 million is nothing and they can get way more. So in Walt/Dutch’s eyes why retire on 5 million/ $7000 when you can keep the snowball going and retire on 100 million/$100000? But of course once they get to that point they’ll say that’s chump change too and want more and more until it kills them. The money’s more of an excuse if anything they just like the thrill of it really
Some people say that Dutch didn't actually want to go to Tahiti or Australia, and simply said that to boost the gang's morale.
In reality he had become addicted to the gang life, the money, and the thrill it provided. Which is why even with millions of dollars on hand, Dutch still says its not enough to go to Tahiti. The real sin is why nobody questions it.
Also the fact that it costs a few thousand to send someone over to Tahiti I think but we won’t talk about that.

This guy is the same dude who complained about the game being too linear. This dude needs a second play through just taking it slow and doing every side mission/random event.

She won't directly say she's pregnant and John will act like he doesn't really understand her hints. I assume the daughter was born and died between 1907 and 1911

John’s hair in epilogue is the biggest complaint I have about this game, as-well as all of the cut content related to John.
If they can add the LeMat, and m1899 in story mode, then why can’t they add John Marston’s original hair with 7 lengths?!

The black water money is 150 thousand which means if we (the player) are left with 20 thousand that means John’s mortgage is 130 THOUSAND DOLLARS.

About Abigail and John not mentioning their dead daughter, when you capture Javier alive, in the cutscene, he says "I hope you and you wife and children rot in hell" it probably means he heard about them having a second child but he didn't find out about her death, further proving they had a second child between the epilogue of rdr2 and before rdr, even if she died before the epilogue, why would either of them mention the death?(Side note: I miss the old thumbnails)

Regarding the sins between John's scars versus the Blackwater heist, yes, you can have it both ways.
RDR2 turns out no differently if John did or did not get his scars during the events of the game, hence the pointlessness of the scar origin.
The Blackwater heist events lift massive amounts of both games' stories driving the Pinkertons to hunt Dutch and company.

@@dukemeiser19 I do agree with the Blackwater heist needing to be a mystery for the purposes of Arthur throughout the first four acts of RDR2 and thus a narratively legitimate reason for maintaining the mystery for the player. An RDR1 player already knows The Strange Man's claim and a new RDR player should have just enough information withheld to share Arthur's perspective. But Acts 5 and 6 should absolutely see Arthur getting the full story.

blackwater massacre isnt explained because to keep players in mystery and make theories, but there is camp dialogues which explains something , people dont play and explore the game properly and complain , there is a bunch campfire stories about John himself , some blackwater massacre etc

Seriously he sinned the immersion of the game that's the best part I love that you get to make Arthur stronger by feeding him and the horse keeping him groomed and everything this guy just sounds silly but it's a good laugh I enjoyed you cracking on him no game is completely perfect but RDR2 is pretty close I played RDR1 years ago but didn't get 2 right away I only had it for 3 years now and it's what I play the most I absolutely love this game and your channel is awesome breaking down the many layers of it keep it up.
I really like the "everything wrong " format of videos. I just wish most creators didn't pull non existing sins out of their bumm to make the videos longer
There’s nothing wrong with criticism but it does get annoying when most EWW channels resort to sinning credits or title scenes
I have been gaming since 1980, and over the years i have played countless games.
RDR2 is by far the most immersive and detailed game i have ever played.
Im on my 5th playthough and still keep finding new mysteries.

The only things i hate about this game is the outfit system being very sloppily programed only in story mode. And activating cheats completley removing your ability to save even if you deactivate the cheat.
Mexico was in a civil war in the first game not the second. There wasn't a war in 1899 but there was obviously in the 1900s
this guy would've hated the widow of willard's rest missions due to the fact it gives you free things in Charlotte's home and like $100 as Arthur.

dutch’s bounty had increased since that poster, javier’s idk and Arthur is not consistently hunted due to the gang moving

It could also be easily explained that John doesn't want to talk about the details that led to him leaving. Not only was he left to die by Dutch, but he also lost his brother in, honestly, a pretty fucked up way.

you definitely lost me saying there is only two rescue missions in this game, bro there is way more than two with josiah, john multiple times, rainsfall, sadie and abigail, jack, micah, uncle, the german father and many more. you just allow bias towards the game to speak rather than actually put more thought into what is being sinned. yes some of the sins are wrong but a good portion of them still stand. edit: unless it was prison specifically and I read it wrong then the counter sin might stand, still way too many main rescue missions in the game

He was possibly just stringing the gang along with what seemed to be an almost insurmountable goal. That bank heist in Valentine alone would’ve had them set for travel. Plus him still having that Blackwater money. Amazing writing 💪🏾🔥🔥
