  • "68Q: What To Expect 2019"// Today I interviewed The "Armyprinncess" professionally known as Sgt. Ashley Wilson and we discussed her MOS 68Q Pharmacy Specialist. The pharmacy specialist is primarily responsible for preparing and dispensing prescribed drugs and medicines, while also maintaining pharmacy supplies and records. She talked about the duties, responsibilities, and role Soldiers in this MOS play in a line unit, inpatient or outpatient Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

PTCB Certification is national, not state. You would still need a state license for pharmacy to work in the state. The license and PTCB Certification does translate in the civilian world because they are civilian handled. The difference between a pharmacy technician in the military and one who's a civilian is the Uniform.

For the 68q it’s a 5 year minimum because of the cost of training. It was what I was told when I signed my contract
