Awesome review! I'm going to order one right now if I still can find it. About it coming with the corkscrew... It makes a lot of sense for a pocket knife like that to come with a corkscrew. Europeans drink a lot of wine, especially when they picnic at the park. It's a different lifestyle compared to that of the United States. In the US, EDC is all about preparing for armageddon whereas in Europe it's about enjoying yourself outdoors. Robito Hans' channel is proof of that.
I definitely prefer the Spartan over the Compact. I got the Compact thinking it would be a great EDC and I just kept missing the awl. So I cover my scissors needs over on my keychain with one of the little models.
Yep, same here. If the Compact had an awl instead of a hook, I would probably carry it more. If the blade was serrated too, I'd probably carry it all of the time.
Hissatsu5 Yeah that's true, there were some listed on Amazon a few months ago, sometimes when one person lists an older knife people see and start listing their's too.
WAJK, great work on the videos! I enjoy every upload. Also I wanted to see if you could review one or more of the following 1) new Cold Steel Chinese War machete 2) Victorinox Forester 3) taiwan OTF Lighting knife. Thanks!
traderjoes They're the same but one has a corkscrew and the other a Phillips. But what a lot of people don't realize is that the small flathead on the can opener works as a Phillips, too. Oh, also, there's a shorter version of each. They call the small Spartan the Tourist.
iso easy. serrated sak. fills the serration gap. fixed blade is alwaays straight edge. such an easy fix for a truly cpmplete edc! so zhis is still available or did i miss sth? becyuse the officier suisse logo is used on older models usually
Could you please do a video on how to sharpen the serrated blade? There's no other videos on how to sharpen this particular serrated blade.

I absolutely love my serrated Spartan.
Love two layer sak's. I have tried to warm up to serrated knives but never could. Very interesting and useful looking blade
On steel like Vic Uses, serrations make so much sense, especially neutral ones like these!

Pinki2019 Yeah, Compact should definitely have an awl vs. the hook.

What do you use the Awl for?
They all should have a plain AND a serrated. I keep my bigger blade on the climber for food use only anyway.
Cody Barnes Yes it should be like a lot of multitools, plain spearpoint and serrated wharncliffe.
Beautiful victorinox
Notice that the tang stamp had a crossbow on it so I think it's vintage but my collectors companion is not available at the moment

Sage Ethan WT That would be dope as f*ck.
Formally known as the “weekender”
Can you do a side by side with this and the Tinker? Are they the same overall size?
