Love that you added f.MP Kara Shin Shoryuken! Can tell you really played a lot with Ryu and showed some extremely useful and easy to follow tech. Its crazy how there arent any tutorials on youtube that show some of those Denjin setups you see the japanese pro players use often
Thank you so much for the kind words! And you're absolutely right about the denjin set-ups; this is part of the general information gap between legacy players and what's available on UA-cam. Luckily there are a couple really talented content creators on the platform which in recent years have worked hard to narrow this gap, but it still persists.
@@vonkoopa So was that a kara shin shoryuken? I think you can actually meaty f.mp - kara shin sho the entire cast (standing or crouching.) Its just difficult because you have to walk forward a bit before the kara. And yeah I saw some videos back in the day on nicovideo, japan's youtube. They had great 3s and tech. For us non-japanese speaking players, we have to rely on the very few videos from the early 2010s. Youll see combo videos and occassionally see something you haven't tried. But in terms of truly practical videos, its rare to see videos like this that show finer details. Like the Denjin setups you showed. Top players do it, but there aren't tutorials. I love the series you're doing man. If you figure out even a few more things that are useful but not being taught, its worth doing a video, even if its shorter than the others. You really know your 3s!
lovely Ryu. I'm an old school Yun player that didn't play 3rd strike nor fighting gamess for 15 years. Now that I'm back, I decided to get one of those leverless controller and picked Ryu as my "learning the controller" character, he is now my main and I get excited every time I see combos like this.
U can even parry after getting parried in the air (lol) and then attack after that too xD (also, a parry in the air puts u in a "forward jump" state where u can do things that u wouldnt be able to in a back or neutral jump)
It's all about hitting it as soon as possible, so it just comes down to practice. Also, the close forward cancel is crucial to keep you as close to the opponent as possible, otherwise the dp won't reach. Besides that, I find that double tapping helps a lot for combos such as these.
The video is rly cool, never saw some links and combos/resets in here, BUT, sorry to say that bro, to use in a real match, all the video but the SA3 part is totally useless lol

@@voiceoverandmocapguy Thanks! Those was indeed not kara shinshos: I felt that the video was already padded out plenty ;)
@@vonkoopa Wait so f.MP - SAII was a regular Shin Shoryu? You did a bit of a walk up or were they kara'd?
0:12 the whole combo is on beat, sick as hell

Love the use of classic Street Fighter terminology. Just like the old days.
U can never get enough SF3. Been a fan since its debut in the arcade. Before Ryu Ken and Chun was ever added.
Ain't no way I'm ever going to learn most of this, but this is awesome. I only just got fightcade working recently and been enjoying Ryu
This is a very good guide damn! I didn't even know Ryu had so much combo routes with SA1! Subbed
Thank you very much!
5:39 was something I’d never thought about even doing, I usually just mash jab or medium kick if my fwjmp gets parried
Godlike tech. This is the equivalent of handing guns to children(fightcade)
Hahahaha
Awesome stuff you make me want to give a shot at Ryu! Gonna fire up the training mode!
this is nice, i dont see many resources about getting into 3rd strike for the first time and less for ryu which i want to main
I knew all of the sa2 and sa3 but there were a few surprises on sa1
been waiting for this one!
goated videos bro keep up the good work
Thanks man
Good video, you can also doing sa3 juggle after an air reset
Nice work as always man
Thanks!
Very useful
Great video!!!
I downloaded 3rd Strike a few days ago. I wanna play Ryu. I have no idea what I’m doing.
Gold content
Holy shit, I never knew you could attack again after getting parried in the air

nice video bro, which controller do you use to play?
Okay how do you get the timing for ex tatsu into dragon punch?

Is it character specific I couldn’t land it on most characters back when
@@vonkoopaso it’s a Kara

Still liked the video a lot bro dont get me wrong

Will you ever do hugo?
Hugo is a very cool character with a couple interesting quirks; I definitely might!
@@vonkoopa kl no problem
the audio is fucky
Only the first two clips luckily, but yeah there was something with the recording
