This literally brought me to tears. I’m 30 years old and went to Waldorf as a child but lost all my ties to the school years ago. I just remembered out of the blue about the lantern walk and found your video. The song unlocked some special long forgotten memories, thank you so much for that.

I have never hear the St. Martinssong in englisch. Wonderful.😍 Im from Germany. We singing: Ich geh mit meiner Laterne und meine Laterne mit mir. Dort oben leuchten die Sterne und unten leuchten wir. Mein Licht ist aus ich geh nach Haus, rabimmelrabammelrabum bum bum🥰
Such a lovely video. We will do our lanterns for the nights of Ramadan as lanterns were traditionally used to go pray at the Masjid (mosque) during that holiday for night prayers. My heart is so delighted with the idea of lantern making for that occasion and I will make sure to share it with my very large and beautiful extended family so all cousins will be able to have their own (made by themselves).

I was wondering what tissue paper you used. I feel that kite paper is too sturdy, and that other tissue paper bleeds when wet - so I am very curious about what you used.

How lovely i wonder if you could add some dried leaves or flower's to it to?? Will definitely be making these with my kids
