Absolutely savage! Safe to say this is the first legit First Ice video on UA-cam this year. Some great fish, too! 💪
Check out Clayton Schick's channel. He has 2 up ice fishing lakers already. Awesome stuff!
@@joryhaken4589 Those were great vids. Clayton is the man!
Those videos were filmed last year. @@joryhaken4589
@@fishfrostbiteWell to be fair to CSO they were filmed this year 22/23 season 😜 This video is the first of the 23/24 season tho no doubt 👌
Well done sir!
What a sick video Sean Konrad is an absolute legend
Let's Go! Frostbite and the Fishing Geeks back at it again! Glad to see a new video hitting UA-cam! Can't wait for the ice season!
Deadly!! Gotta love first ice!
I cannot believe you gies are on ice let alone cracking giant brook trout through the ice like what !?
Absolute blast slamming brookies with the fishin geeks 🔥🔥
When you type(Colorado ice fishing) and you get Canada
Hahah we always get that first ice 🤟😊
Well as always great video. See you guys next year.
Haha maybe we get 2 vids this year!
Always gonna click for the Brookies.
I'm here in New Hampshire hope we have a better ice season than last year
Im in central/northern Vermont an last year was absolutely terrible too
Yeah southern Ontario was not good either, think its gonna be a cold one this winter though
Thanks alot for the awesome vid Sean. You and Barry had an AMAZING day looks like. That ice was a tad sketchy but well worth the adventure forsure.
Ya tad bit sketchy… 😬
Earliest I’ve ever been on the ice in Manitoba was October 30th 2020 slamming monster bows
Love to see people finally using the rods that have mounts for the reels on them
Never understood spending hundreds and having to tape you’re reel on!
Great video boys and had fun chatting with you at the ice fishing show
Hopefully Clayton didn’t bother you too much
Beautiful landscape and pretty fish. You guys have the good life. Stay frosty.
I love it out here, Alberta's so amazing
That lil lake gets hammered every winter. Surprised there is any left in there.
Crazy! Those were some amazing brookies you caught!
so sick!
Time to go check some mountain lakes! And I emphasize CHECK. I’ve got all winter to fish no need to take an ice nap.
Just wanna say, I'm happy to wait a couple extra weeks to give the content creators safe ice. No fishing video is worth the risks IMO
With float suits there isnt alot of risk besides getting cold. If you have a truck close enough to walk to it really isnt a huge risk especially in 3-4 foot like there in
@@connorerhardt1767agreed i fished in similar fell in 3 feet of water and walked out caught 12 fish i knew what i was getting into.
Awesome Brookies, but you need to handle them better and not drop them if you want to release them
Thanks for a great show! I will be attempting some ice fishing this weekend my self.
World record energy.
Outstanding. That wasn't a Brookie, that was a football. Going out this morning to make some content. Great job fellas🎣
What’s the point of risking your life over a fish ?
Some proper first ice footage. It should be illegal to post 22’-23’ ice fishing videos in the 23’-24’ season and label it ice fishing!…I’m looking at you Jay…
This makes me feel like I’m a kid again on Christmas morning
Lucky duck. I've got about 3-4 weeks still till ice fishing. In northern Wisconsin. Where are y'all finding nice ice
Canada, lol
Awesome video. I know Frostbite will be at The Dakota Angler Ice Institute in Sioux Falls SD is there any notable names representing the brand?
So good! Beauty Brookies! So excited for first ice!
Nice!
Very jealous hahahaha congratulations on some great fish for first ice.
It was a slay day forsure 🤟
Great video! 19 degrees here in Wisconsin rightnow, can't wait! still have a trip or 3 in the boat yet tho I'm sure.
We're back to plus digits, could almost launch the boat now here in Alberta again lol
There is no way that monster brookie won’t have CTE!!
GIANT bookies! SKINNY ice!
And that nice male ends up dying after falling five feet onto hard ice and, frostbite after being out of the water for five minutes in sub zero weather
Thanks for the video. Love the drone footage. I fished this lake with a boat a couple years after it was stocked for the first time 20 years ago.. I nailed some 5 pound plus fish. They will like never get that big in there again but they are decent much fun.
Ya about 5 years ago we were getting giants, but they're still above average now, just not the same as they used to be
Amazing Brookies, be safe out there on early ice
Omg... using my favorite frostbite rod to catch hoggers!!! Awesome to see the ice forming in places already!
We now have over 6 inches in some places 🤟
Think you could’ve brought a hand auger
Or a small axe lol
Awesome video and definitely the first ice fishing of the season! Scary thin ice but if youre fishing very shallow water you could stand in if you go through, id say giver!
It felt so good to be back on ice, now a month into the season and it's been so epic ❤
Holy crap you guys on ice earrrrly
Where at in Canada are these guys from?
Saskatchewan and Alberta. The Fishinggeeks channel!!!
They are most likely in Alberta 99% sure but they are from Saskatchewan where I’m at he’s a prof guide at deifenbaker lake sk
Way cool!
LFG
Nice !
Brookie Rookie’s 😎
Looks like your auger started drilling square holes after drilling into that mud . Carry a spud bar guys. But nice fish guys.
I'm in Nebraska and I can't wait guys , I may have to head to the Dakotas to get on early ice😊
Have u found any ice yet ?
Not yet brother but it's getting closer every day
I'm hearing rumors of ice in the Dakotas, ice on upper red and Noth woods in Wisconsin
Channels dead af
Spud bar anyone? Yeesh.
Please to all the kids watching this. Don't ever go out on 2 inches of ice.
Awesome Brookies!!!
Solid🙌🏻
😁 Promo_SM
What is the significance of first ice? Do the brookies get less active as winter carries on?
Yes. As winter goes on Brookies and all trout start to feed less
And no electronics either?! 😲 Legendary.
I had my sonar for about an hour, and no signs or marks. I pulled thw sonar and fish started coming in. Sometimes it's all it takes. Shallow water and able to sight fish so really the electronics weren't needed, but hard to leave home without them 🤣 🤟
Hard to believe a person can catch fish without a livescope
@@MH-yu5yp exactly! That was my first thought. Haha
@@MH-yu5yp😂😂😂
4:08 how does "Hooked up to a giant" turn into a "little male" in 2 seconds?
Common man. Every fish is a giant when you set the hook lol HUGE FISH ON!!!! Lol
Those are some great colors on them bookies. Tanks, look like small coho
Most beautiful trout ever 🤟
I need to know where this lake is! It is probably not in my state, still want to know because you got monster fish
Alberta Canada., I just posted a video from the same lake we hit this day 🤟
general location?
Alberta West slope Mountain range
Good answer lol 👍🏻🍺
One of the Wildhorse lakes. It’s no secret! It’s the first place to freeze up every year due to the high winds from the Athabasca valley. If you go with a shack, peg it down well! I’ve seen shacks fly across the ice.
That’s a hog
2'' and not one word about safety. at least the original guys would have said something about it. i guess frostbite will hire any dummy to pump out videos.
Haha nice work I'm going to say ir fishing kinky lake
